What if the thing you feel guilty about couldn’t have happened any differently?

That can be a difficult idea to consider, especially when your mind keeps returning to what you “should have” done instead.

In this clip, Dr. Jon Connelly invites us to look at guilt through a different lens: cause and effect.

Every event had causes. Those causes had causes. And when we follow that logic, the belief that the past could have unfolded differently begins to look very different.

Or, as Dr. Connelly puts it, you could simply look at it like a duck.

Watch the full video, What Ducks Can Teach Us About Guilt, Regret & “Should Have”, for a thought-provoking RRT perspective on guilt, regret, and our relationship with the past.

When the mind becomes clear, emotional relief can happen naturally, making room for greater peace, clarity, and freedom.

After experiencing the life changing benefits of Rapid Resolution Therapy herself, Rinda dedicated her practice to studying, teaching, and providing this powerful approach. Rinda offers both in person and virtual sessions for adults.

Sometimes the value of what you are learning becomes clearest when life changes without warning.

Sam Moses, a licensed clinical social worker in South Florida, had been exploring Rapid Resolution Therapy®, reading Life-Changing Conversations, participating in trainings, and developing a deeper understanding of the work.

Then his mother passed away.

Reflecting on that experience, Sam shared:

“Without Rapid Resolution Therapy, I wouldn’t have had a shift in perspective. I wouldn’t have been able to cope so well, to survive and thrive.”

For Sam, RRT wasn’t only something he was learning to use professionally. It influenced the way he experienced one of the most difficult periods of his own life.

He continued exploring the work through Grief Is Not Sacred, Quick Shifts, and further training, gaining new perspectives on grief, mind, and the possibilities for meaningful change.

That is one of the things that makes learning RRT so powerful. The work you develop for helping others can also change the way you understand and respond to your own experiences.

If you are curious about Rapid Resolution Therapy®, Solutions is an opportunity to experience Dr. Jon Connelly’s approach, explore how RRT works, and discover a different way of understanding emotional distress and change.

What if “it shouldn’t have happened” is the thought that keeps us stuck?

In this clip, Dr. Jon Connelly introduces a different way of looking at the past through the principle of cause and effect.

If something happened, something caused it. And something caused that cause. Follow that chain far enough, and it raises an interesting question:

Could that moment really have happened differently than it did?

It’s a perspective that challenges the “should have,” “could have,” and “if only” thinking that can become intertwined with guilt and regret.

And apparently, ducks may understand something about this that humans don’t.

What changes when you see the same thing from an entirely different perspective?

In this moment from a past Solutions! event, Dr. Jon Connelly invites a participant to experience two very different points of view.

First, close to the ground, seeing through the perspective of a rabbit.

Then, high above, looking through the perspective of an eagle.

The world hasn’t changed. What has changed is the way it is being perceived.

From that different vantage point, things no longer need to be sorted into good or bad, worthwhile or worthless. They can simply be seen for what they are.

And when perception shifts, the emotional response can shift with it.

At Solutions!, you can experience Dr. Connelly and Rapid Resolution Therapy® in action, whether you participate directly or simply watch the process unfold.

Come with something you would like to be different, or come curious about what becomes possible when the mind sees things differently.

ave you ever taken something another person did and turned it into evidence about yourself?

They didn't choose me, so I'm not good enough.

They left, so I must not be worth staying for.

They didn't invite me, so I don't belong.

They criticized me, so maybe there's something wrong with me.

Rapid Resolution Therapy® identifies this as a common form of stuckness: treating what another person says or does as information about oneself.

But consider this.

What if their behavior is actually information about them?

Their decisions. Their perceptions. Their preferences. Their history. Their way of responding to the world.

That doesn't mean their actions can't affect you. It means their actions don't get to define you.

Sometimes what keeps hurting long after an experience has ended isn't only what happened.

It's the meaning mind attached to what happened.

If something from the past or present continues to keep you stuck, join Dr. Jon Connelly for Solutions, a live online personal growth experience designed to help create meaningful change in what has been troubling you.

What makes someone truly influential?

According to Dr. Jon Connelly, it starts with understanding.

But RRT approaches understanding a little differently.

Rather than beginning with what we think should be understood about someone, the RRT process is particularly interested in understanding what that individual would like to have understood.

Because when someone genuinely understands you, aren’t you more likely to be influenced by them?

It’s an important distinction.

Less focus on control. More focus on understanding and influence.

In the full video, Dr. Connelly explores the relationship between “I” and “self,” why trying to control yourself may be an impossible assignment, and what RRT looks toward instead.
