Mimosa Handcrafted
Louisiana-local, handcrafted jewelry focused on fostering connection & capturing the essence of home.
MIMOSA Handcrafted jewelry is intentionally designed to foster connection and mark the moments in life that deserve to be remembered. The pieces are inspired by landscape, culture and the human experience. MIMOSA uses the ancient art of Lost Wax Casting to create unique bronze, sterling silver and 14K gold jewelry. Each piece is created start to finish in our South Louisiana studio by our in-house team. We are committed to our #goodsforgood initiative as where we turn our goods to good paid forward.

The Dragonfly â¨
300 million years, and dragonflies are still going strong: ancient, resilient, and full of wonder. They weave through our hot Southern summer days like threads connecting our oldest stories to our newest.
Some bring good memories.
Some bring a spark of awe.
Some even feel like a visit from someone we love.
We hope this piece carries whatever meaning the dragonfly holds for you, and keeps a little of that magic close.âĽ

A family's handmade quilts and keepsakes are the tangible reminders of what passed-down love looks like. A reminder that came to the forefront while creating our Quilt and Granny Square jewelry.
It's something that's echoed through every piece we've ever made, but especially through this collection. And we're not the only ones who've been inspired by these handmade reminders of comfort and warmth. âĽ

A new addition! âĽđ˘
My daughter is to thank for this one. She requested a turtle ring of a mama with a baby on its back, and once I started carving, it turned out too cute not to share. After a sneak peek on Instagram, you thought so, too. ;)
â
Introducing the Mom and Baby Turtle Ring. The newest design in our Turtle Collection, inspired by some of our favorite Louisiana turtles.

This place I call home has been so many things for me, but perhaps most of all, my muse. Almost everything I make is inspired by the land, the people, and the spirit called Louisiana. âĽ
đFLORA & FAUNA
As a landscape architect, every project was an opportunity to deepen my knowledge of the natural world around me. Working in her bayous and swamps, hardwood forests, wetlands, and basins, I met her densely diverse flora and fauna and fell in love.
A deep appreciation and a strong sense to protect and honor it would carry over to my jewelry making in the most profound way.
đPEOPLE
To live in Louisiana is to be resilient in a way not all states ask of their people. A sportsmanâs paradise with a complicated history, battered year after year by devastating storms, requires a mighty tenacious bunch to rise to the challenge of calling her home.
The strength in their bonds, the dedication to family and friends, the generosity of strangers in the roughest waters of life, all echo in the pieces we make.
đCULTURE
"Laissez les bons temps rouler" let the good times roll
If there is anything we are rich in, it is the way we hold tight to traditions, customs, and a collective commitment to passing a good time.
Itâs impossible to live here and not be inspired by the âjoie de vivre" joy of living that permeates our everyday lives. Festivals for everything, crawfish boils to celebrate anything or nothing, live music always, culinary experiences that win the most prestigious awards, and, of course, Mardi Gras.
..Louisiana has a way of seeping into your soul and adding a spice to life you wonât find anywhere else.
Itâs my hope that our work helps you hold on to the best parts of what the Pelican State has to offer.

"Obsessed. I now have the gar cuff, ring, and earrings in bronze and I love them all." âKayla W., Garfish Earrings
They say we donât have seasons in Louisiana, but locals know better.
Deer season, duck season, alligator season, and a year-round fishing season, broken into microseasons within.
If you grew up in a family like mine, the calendar followed the rhythm of those seasons. They dictated everything from when your dad would be gone for the weekend to what youâd be eating for dinner.
Just like the weather, each season comes with its own gear - and maybe even its own camp. Fishing camps, huntinâ camps⌠camps where you heard tall tales over late-night card games, long after a fresh meal of whatever the Louisiana wild had gifted you that day.
This little collection of Louisiana fish (with earrings you can mix and match!) is my homage to the fish in our bones, the ones caught in mud-brown rivers, backwater swamps, and pasture ponds.
⢠The sac-a-lait â the first one most of us remember catching ourselves
⢠The largemouth bass â the first of our âbig fishâ stories
⢠The catfish â the slimiest, with those wild, long whiskers and terrifying spines
⢠The redfish â the one on the best menus in town
⢠The speckled trout â the ones almost too pretty to eat
⢠The garfish â the not-so-scary river monster
⢠The flounder â the too-weird-to-be-real, one-sided mystery
⢠The blenny â the quirky obsession of my favorite fish biologist
