HAPPY MEMORIAL DAY! 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

We are thrilled to host our 3rd Seize the Day Acadiana on September 20, 2026. This event is 1 of 4 fundraising events across the state dedicated to supporting people with epilepsy. For over 20 years, we’ve featured a 1-mile run/walk, which is now called the "Warrior Walk." To better align with our mission and to honor the strength and courage of those affected by epilepsy, the Warrior Walk will now be a walk-only event and will not be timed.

This year, we’re excited to announce the return of the 5K run, joining our signature 1‑mile Warrior Walk. Our goal is to create a more inclusive and accessible experience, giving participants multiple ways to get involved and support our mission. By offering both distances, we’re able to welcome a wider range of ages, abilities, and fitness levels while continuing to strengthen community engagement across Louisiana.

🇺🇸 Prayer warriors… we need some sunshine. ☀️

As we prepare for the Memorial Day Garden of Flags, the forecast currently shows a high chance of rain for Saturday.

We are praying boldly for clear skies as we honor Louisiana’s fallen heroes and the Gold Star Families who carry their memory every day. ❤️🇺🇸

No matter the weather, we will move forward with love, purpose, and gratitude — but we would certainly appreciate every prayer for a beautiful morning at the Capitol.

Many hands make light work… and many prayers can move hearts🙏🏻❤️

The check presentation this week brought some very big smiles! We presented $2600 to our April meeting winner, Camp United! They have an amazing camp where students of ALL abilities can enjoy games, water slides, arts and crafts, guest speakers, movies and much more. The camp has expanded from just summer to several camps throughout the entire year!

Director Leslie Redden Wascom and Brice N Larson expressed how much they appreciate what 100 Strong is doing in the Baton Rouge community.

Congratulations to our other two nominees:

Louisiana Firefighters Foundation received $525 and The ALS Association received $425!
