💜 **September is STXBP1 Awareness Month, and this one is personal for us.**

Meet our girl, Charlie. 💜

Charlie has **STXBP1 disorder**, a rare genetic neurological condition that affects the way brain cells communicate. In the simplest terms, the messages her brain sends to her body don’t always travel the way they should. Things most of us never think twice about—moving our bodies, communicating what we want, learning a new skill—can require an incredible amount of work for children like Charlie.

Charlie has been part of our Triform family for over three years, both weekly therapy and intensive therapy sessions. We have the privilege of seeing firsthand just how much determination can live inside one little girl.

For Charlie, progress may come through hundreds and hundreds of repetitions. It comes through hard days, tired muscles, frustration, perseverance, and a family that refuses to stop believing in what is possible.

Charlie is strong. She is determined. She is deeply loved. And she has an entire team standing beside her, fighting for every possibility. 💜

This month, Charlie's family is raising money to help support STXBP1 research and the families who are desperately waiting for more answers, better treatments, and ultimately, a cure.

💙 Every child deserves a voice.

With many of the children we treat, difficulty speaking doesn’t mean they don’t have something to say. AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) gives children a way to share their thoughts, make choices, tell jokes, say “NO,” and communicate like the kids they are.

AAC can also be an important part of intensive therapy, giving children a voice while they work hard toward greater mobility, independence, and participation.

This month, we’re taking time to recognize, educate, and celebrate the incredible children and families whose journeys may look a little different.

Throughout September, we’ll be sharing about diagnoses, disabilities, communication differences, adaptive equipment, and—most importantly—the amazing KIDS behind all of it.

At Triform, we believe a diagnosis can help us understand a child’s needs, but it will never define their potential.

We don’t see children only for who they are today.

We see them for what they can become. 💙💚💗

Congrats to our PT Rachel Seidel Clouatre for completing Level C Dynamic Movement Intervention this week in California with the one and only Jake Kreindler, PT. Rachel marks the 3rd Triform therapist to be trained in DMI as a Level C practitioner. We still have a few spots left in the fall for intensives. Call us today to book!

Finding specialized feeding therapy for children with complex medical needs can be challenging. Our team is proud to offer individualized feeding therapy for children with a wide range of diagnoses, including oral aversions, tube feeding, dysphagia, sensory feeding difficulties and more!

Whether your child would benefit from weekly therapy or an intensive model, we’re here to help families make meaningful progress.
