Congratulations to Spencer Crook ’27 and Preston Thompson ’27 for being selected to the Young Entrepreneurs Academy Class of 2026-27, where over the next few months they will turn an idea into a working business. These young men will be in charge of deciding what type of company they build and what to charge their customers. In addition, they will have to explain their business plans to an adult who asks hard questions and file their businesses with the Secretary of State. Every student leaves having built something few adults ever will: a company of their own.

First day of our 2026 Tour was a success! Members from the CHS and SJA student council, band, bruinettes, cheer teams, choir, and red steppers visited four middle schools.

We had so much fun with everybody! Thank you to St. Theresa, Sacred Heart, St. Luke’s, and Our Lady of Mercy for having us.

Today, CHS student ministers met with our 8th and 9th grade Bears to catch up with them on their first few weeks at CHS. These meetings provide our upperclassmen with a chance to offer support to our newest students while also helping them feel a sense of community and brotherhood at school.

Our hearts go out to the nearly 3,000 innocent Americans who perished in the senseless attacks on our nation 25 years ago today. We lift all who were impacted on this tragic day in prayer, especially the family of CHS Alumnus Lt. Scott Lamana ‘88. We will never forget. 🇺🇸

Our bears had their first test prep sessions of the school year yesterday. During these sessions, our underclassman have a chance to work on their test-taking strategies and study skills, while our seniors prepare for college and the professional world they will soon be entering. This first session, the seniors had a class on business etiquette (branding, dress, dinner etiquette, interview skills, etc...)

Congratulations to these 12 young men for being chosen to participate in the Louisiana Chapter of the American Choral Directors Association All - State Honor Choir! They were selected from a panel of judges after competing against other students throughout the state. We are so proud of each of you.

Students in Ms. Conroy’s Environmental Science classes have been learning about the scientific method. Last week, they got to apply what they’ve learned and experiment with different projects.
