Children with dyslexia often struggle to learn to read and are terrible spellers.
At Louisiana Key Academy, our specially trained team of educators is redefining what it means to learn through the lens of dyslexia, creating an inspiring and results-oriented educational environment designed to help your child thrive. It runs in families and the children can have speech delay as young children.They are bright children but need special instruction by trained teachers.

🎉 October is Dyslexia Awareness Month! 🎉
This year at Louisiana Key Academy, we’re doing something a little different. We’re trading the traditional red ribbon for CONFETTI! 🎉✨
Why confetti? Because Dyslexia Awareness Month at LKA isn’t just about raising awareness—it’s about celebrating the differences that make our students extraordinary.
Every student learns differently, thinks differently, creates differently, and sees possibilities differently. And we believe those differences deserve more than recognition—they deserve to be celebrated!
So throughout October, you’ll see less red and a whole lot more confetti as we celebrate our incredible students across every LKA campus. 💎🎉

At our Baton Rouge campus, Ms. Card and Ms. Havard’s third graders brought math, creativity, and a little imagination together as they created their own planet-themed cookies!
We love seeing our students learn through hands-on experiences that make concepts engaging, memorable, and delicious. 💙

A diagnosis is an answer, not a destination.
Knowing your child has dyslexia can finally explain years of frustration.
But what happens after the diagnosis matters just as much. If your child has an IEP, accommodations, or reading support but continues to struggle, it may be time to ask:
