Back for its fifth year, our highly-anticipated annual fashion show, Reuse on the Runway: A Night of Fashion, Cosplay & Drag, is scheduled for the evening of Saturday, October 17, 2026.
Applications for designers are open now and will close at 11:59PM on Wednesday, July 15. New for this year, we're offering several Challenge Materials which will be available to interested designers at no cost. Check out our website for all the details and indicate your interest in using Challenge Materials in your application: https://austincreativereuse.org/reuse-on-the-runway-designers

Huge thanks to for volunteering with us last month! This amazing group of 68 volunteers processed over 20 total bins of craft wood, stickers, writing instruments, fine art markers, and batting and stuffing over the course of the day! They were a really fun, enthusiastic, and efficient group and we appreciate their hard work!

Looking for affordable, secondhand art and craft supplies? Want to creatively reuse but unable to visit us here in Austin or planning to explore other states this summer? We’ve got you covered!
We’ve updated our list of every creative reuse center in the US (that we know of!), which we’ll post in three parts, with Part 2 today!
States are listed in alphabetical order and creative reuse centers in each state are listed alphabetically by city. Hopefully this can help you find your nearest creative reuse center, wherever you are!

If you live in South Dakota, Mississippi, or Delaware, there are unfortunately no creative reuse centers in your state (yet!) that we know of. As sad as this is, it could be your chance to bring creative reuse to your state!
Are you an educator, scout troop leader, or non-profit that needs bulk materials for your creative projects? Place a bulk order through our bulk order program. You can easily order through our website using the bulk orders page. The $10 Bulk Order fee covers the administrative cost of running the program.
Wondering what you can make with these bulk materials? Check out our list of tutorials to inspire you, each with a link to detailed instructions!
Once your order has been placed and paid we will begin collecting all of the items you have requested. We keep an itemized list of all of the materials we need to collect and go through one by one adding each item to our cart. Once all of the materials have been collected and your order is ready we will send you an email notifying you that it is ready to be picked up. On your requested pick up date you will park in our donation drop off area and we will help load your materials into your car.
This bulk order was picked up by the Trinity Center, a local non-profit working to end homelessness by supporting the needs of our unhoused neighbors. These bulk materials will be used to help uplift our community members who need urgent support. Be sure to check out their page if you want to learn more about them and their work.
Yellow and green and red and blue, fabric for me and fabric for you! If you’re looking for affordable fabric for your next crafting project then Austin Creative Reuse is the place to be! We have fabric of all shapes, colors, sizes, and materials.
