Ask an infrastructure leader how many devices sit inside one of their stores, branches, clinics, or plants. Then send someone to walk the location and count. The second number is almost always higher.
That gap isn't sloppiness; it's the result of point solutions arriving one at a time, across individual departments in disparate locations, each justified on its own but with no central decision-making in place.
The pattern points to a bigger gap in infrastructure planning.
