In case you missed our post yesterday, we will be postponing the anniversary sale until the end of the month. Our internet is also back up so we will be open today. If you are free or have the resources to help, please consider stopping by the old UW Fox Valley campus. You can show up anytime between 8am and 8pm and they will give you a job to do.

It’s been so awesome to see everyone showing up to help out, but there is still so so much to be done. Yesterday we made our first trek into the city since the storm hit, and pictures do not do it justice. There is a huge need between now and Friday night as we are expected to get a good amount of rain.

Yesterday we were extremely slow in the store, our internet has been on and off, and our phones are barely working as Verizon is so overloaded right now. We are going to CLOSE the store today so that we can deliver supplies to the areas that need them most today. We have had peopling reaching out to us to ask if we are going to do a donation drive ourselves. We believe that there are so many other places offering the same type of thing, that our time and resources are better spent partnering with our neighbors/ local organizations. We have also made the decision to postpone the anniversary sale until Saturday, August 29th. We have been so incredibly blessed by this city and community. We feel it is very tone deaf to celebrate while so many in the area are hurting. We look forward to celebrating our Press Start community later in the month, but helping that community heal needs to come first.
Here is some great information for people looking for ways to help out in Menasha. We stopped by with drop offs a couple times yesterday, and they have a great set up at the Barlow Planetarium.

I want nothing more than to help our community during this time of need. I have been contemplating closing the store so that we can volunteer and help with the clean up. For today we will be open as we get more information on where volunteers are needed most. We will continue to update as the week goes on. The anniversary sale is planned for Saturday, but it is honestly not my priority at this time. We will talk about it more today and may postpone it. It doesn’t really feel like a time for celebrating and having people spend money on video games. That money could do so much good for all of those impacted by the storm.

It has been so awesome to see the outpouring of love and support for the community. We got this Fox Valley!

We have had a lot of people reaching out asking if the store is ok. Fortunately the building made it through, and the store is safe! Our hearts go out to everyone who was impacted by the storm. 💔

Hey everyone! Just a quick reminder of our summer schedule if you haven’t been in the store lately!

We will be closed this coming Sunday for Father’s Day, closed the week of the 4th of July, and holding our 12 years anniversary sale on August 1st!

We recently had someone ask us if we were interested in any “rare and hard to find Skylanders”.

We had absolutely no idea what we were in for! He came back with two totes filled with a bunch of the rarest chase, employee exclusive, and convention exclusive Skylanders ever made! We were shocked with how much they were selling for!
