Paws Rescue Qatar is an animal welfare group seeking to provide shelter and support to street animals

We are a few individuals that have come together to rescue and rehome animals. We want to ensure that any animals currently under our responsibility have the best chance of finding a home, but we also need to ensure we can share their stories far and wide.

These 10 cats have the opportunity to fly to our partner rescue in US in 18 days!! They have been overlooked for so long in Doha and with adoptions locally in Qatar at an all time low, their chances of finding a forever home here is slim 💔 they deserve a chance and from previous experience our beautiful babies are snapped up in no time!

We know we are asking for a lot, but are praying we can find enough people out there kind enough to sponsor or contribute to their journey. Any amount is hugely welcomed and we would be delighted to send updates of their onwards adventures! You can donate by one if the options below-

Introducing our new wee pups!

Please meet the boys - Luciano, Sanchez, Daville and Gyptian and the girls Etana and Cecile!

We’re still trying to get mum. She’s very elusive so she can come in as she’s on her own now 😭

The Pups were found in a shopping trolley with a sign on saying Baladiya are on their way and they are covered in ticks - direct sunlight . Just awful 😞

Getting to know their personalities but all are very social and loving so far!

Ready to be reserved !

Video to follow this weekend ❤️

A Tribute to Koa

Koa came into our lives in the summer of 2022.

He was found abandoned outside the boarding facility where he had once stayed, pacing up and down the fence, stressed, confused, and desperately trying to get in. It seemed his family had decided they no longer wanted him and had left him at a place he recognised — perhaps hoping someone there would take him in.

And of course, we did.

Koa quickly became a huge part of the Paws family. He was friendly (mostly!), excitable (always!), full of character, and always wanted to be the centre of attention. Sometimes he could be a little overzealous, but that was Koa — larger than life, bursting with energy, and impossible to ignore.

We all grew to love him immensely. There was never a day where Koa wasn’t the focus of someone’s attention, whether he was making us laugh, demanding affection, or simply reminding us that he was very much present and waiting to be loved.

Over the years, we came to realise that Koa was going to be difficult to rehome. He had a few trials here and there, but sadly they resulted in him being returned. Still, we never gave up on him. Although he had a reactive side at times, he also had the most beautiful soul, and we knew he would always have a place within the Paws family.

A few months ago, things took a heartbreaking turn when Koa was diagnosed with lymphoma. After speaking with trusted vets and running the tests needed to confirm our fears, we realised that all we could do for him was love him, keep him pain free, and allow him to remain in the comfort and familiarity he had always known with us.

So that is exactly what we did.

Koa was surrounded by love, visits from his friends, familiar faces, gentle care, and, of course, the very best chicken dinners. He was treasured until the very end.

Last week, when it became clear that his body could no longer carry him comfortably, we had to make the decision no one ever wants to make. We had to say goodbye to him in the most graceful, gentle, and loving way we could.

Koa, you will always be missed, big man. We will love you forever, and your memory will live on in everything we do.

Run free, beautiful boy. You were, and always will be, part of the Paws family.

A special thanks to his best friends - Humphrey, Ajay, Zameer, Scot, Eve, Susan and Yamini # # #

Swipe to see just how far Harris has come! Harris was abandoned by his owners with his brother and mum not too long ago but has now found a loving home to thrive, and has picked himself up a new sister Zoey!

We have so many cats for adoption, including his brother and mum still, so please contact us if you can offer a long term foster or a forever home 💕

Can you volunteer a few hours a month to help with our finances? As a UK registered charity there are a number of things we need to be on top of to ensure compliance. This includes using Quickbooks, book keeping, reconciliations, gift aid process and year end reports. Experience in the UK is ideal!

We are a small number of people who do a great deal for Paws Rescue UK and Qatar, but would like someone with a more financial/data savvy mind to help with this responsibility.

Whilst it’s sad to know that Heidi and Greta were dumped at our door and they watched their owner drive off, the silver lining is that they got to find the most wonderful family who are totally in love!

They love long walks, sending their dad off to work, playing with their new brother W***y, taking naps together and joining in with gardening.

This mother and daughter duo really hit the jackpot and we are so grateful their parents chose to adopt 🐾

If you can foster or adopt please contact us and consider giving a chance at a new life to an animal in need ❤️

Poor little Pogo hasn’t quite had luck on his side! Since being in our care he has an a number of invasive surgeries and he can’t quite catch a break!

Recently he had another plate put in, and on Monday he will have a further bone graft. We have so many cases right now that are very costly and it means we are turning down lots of others that need us. Our vet bills are blocked and we can’t keep adding to them without clearing existing ones.

Please, watch Pogos video and see what a fighter he is. He is such a great all round dog as well, always happy to greet people and is very social and lovable. If it means you give us 20qar this week on your usual coffee order and donate it towards Pogo, we would be so so grateful.

You can donate by PayPal, fundraiser below, direct bank transfer to the vet or Farwan.

Thank you so much in advance to anyone who contributes towards his care. It’s a huge help 💕

Recently it seems every animal we rescue comes as a walking vet bill - generally because we have had to prioritise critical cases.

With that we have at least 5 bills we just can’t afford for cover and they need help - we can’t say no other than just run up big bills.

We really need help - it’s critical time for us - volunteers are down - donations are down and even partnerships we have nurtured have been hard as those businesses are also suffering

As an example

💔 Koa needs much needed tests as he has suspected lymphoma- that’s 2000 qr

💔 Pogo had to go back in for surgery again as one of his legs just hasn’t healed properly despite all the right care his bone didn’t fuse - and the other leg also needs help - that’s 6500 qr

💔We rescued a cat that had to have his tail amputated and has also been left with nerve damage on the back area - his bill is 3500 qr welcome to our family Cecil

💔 Last week we couldn’t say no to another cat that had such a neurotic leg it had to be amputated immediately that has just cost 2900 qr

💔 We rescued a cat that needs a full dental and some extractions that’s going to cost around 1500 qr

All in all we have no choice but to take on constant burden - we can’t help many but we try to help a few and there is constant ongoing costs associated with care of rescues - it doesn’t end !!

Please please if you can help us please contact us for our bank details , our vet bank details or our Fawran or our charity PayPal

Please help 😪💔 PM us today
We are desperate
