It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of **Colleen Anne Van Den Heuvel**, who passed away on **Tuesday, 18th August 2026**, surrounded by her closest loved ones and dearest friends.

Colleen was surrounded by love in her final moments, with those who meant the very most to her by her side.

A heartfelt thank you to the amazing staff who cared for Colleen. Your kindness, compassion and incredible care shown to her will always be deeply appreciated by those who loved her.

In accordance with **Colleen’s wishes, a private cremation has taken place**.

It is with incredibly heavy hearts that we acknowledge the passing of the beautiful Miss Kyla Kahuwharariki Te Wano Greensill, who passed away on Sunday, 16th August, surrounded by her whānau and so much love. 🤍

Kyla was a beautiful young woman with a smile that could light up a room. Bubbly, hardworking, generous and kind-hearted, she touched the lives of so many people throughout her journey.

A talented New Zealand volleyball player, Kyla carried herself with passion, determination and strength. Her talent was something to be admired, but it was the beautiful person behind that talent — her warmth, her kindness, her infectious smile and the love she had for those around her — that will be remembered most.

Our hearts and deepest aroha go out to Kyla’s Mum, Nikki, Dad, Ra, and her sister, Leikyn, as well as her wider whānau, friends, teammates and everyone who had the privilege of knowing and loving her.

To Nikki, Ra, Leikyn and the entire whānau — what an honour and privilege it is for us to care for your beautiful Kyla and to walk alongside your whānau during this incredibly difficult time.

Kyla was so deeply loved, and that love will continue to surround her as she is carried on her final journey.

At 1:27 pm 12.08.26 our beautiful taonga Toni Pomana Jacob was given her wings🪽 🪽 she was surrounded by all who loved cared and cherished her. The parade that awaited her to es**rt her home to be with Grams, (aunty) Robynn, (aunty) Carolyn, dad Willie and mum Rondase. Our loss has no words. Our grief has a pain that none of us have ever experienced. Hold her in your arms for us until we see each other again.

Tonz is now at rest at Mums place 216 Baird road (next to forest view High School) all welcome to come and pay your respects. We will have her here until Saturday when we all hikoi back up to Hamilton for final service at Simplicity Funerals. 449 Te Rapa Road Hamilton. hint drive down the service lane next to the road

Service will be at 1pm followed where we will say our final farewell followed by refreshments

💔 In Loving Memory of Aunty Yvonne Mary Retter 💔
🕊️27 November 1952 – 5 August 2026
It is with deep sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Yvonne Mary Retter.
Born in Dannevirke, Yvonne spent her life in Mount Maunganui, and shared 26 happy years in Te Puke with her beloved partner, Rodney Toataua ❤️.
Yvonne lived life to the fullest ✨ She loved travelling 🌏, playing squash 🏸, and learning new skills 📚 through many courses she completed over the years. She was a hard worker 💪, a wonderful cook 👩‍🍳, and there was always a warm meal and plenty of love waiting for visiting whānau 🍲❤️
❤️ Dearly loved partner of Rodney Toataua for 30 years🌹 Cherished daughter of Wilfred and Elizabeth Retter.
Yvonne will be cremated and will return home to Rodney and their home in Te Puke over the next few days 🕯️
She will be profoundly missed by all her family, friends, and everyone whose lives she touched.

On behalf of Anne’s family and the team at Simply Funerals, we share with sadness the passing of Mavis Anne “Anne” Shaw, who passed away peacefully at Waikato Hospital on Monday, 10 August 2026, with her daughter by her side.

In keeping with Anne’s wishes, her family will farewell her with a private family service at Simply Funerals, 449 Te Rapa Road, down the service lane, Hamilton, followed by a private cremation at Te Rapa Crematorium.

Following Anne’s farewell, family and friends are warmly invited to come together at The Lookout Bar & Kitchen, 60 Church Road, Pukete, Hamilton.

Please join us as we share food, raise a glass, tell stories, remember the good times and celebrate the life of Anne.

A much-loved Mum and a special part of so many lives, Anne will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.

Beloved wife to the late Leo Smith, Mum to Louise, Lance and Victor. Much loved mother in law, nanna and great nanna to many.

Followed by a private cremation at Te Rapa Crematorium.
