I am pleased the pilots and medics have a wonderful view during these important and stressful flights.
Air Ambulance Pilot Aadi captured this beautiful photo as the sun set in Masterton, serving as a backdrop to the vital work we do.
What’s not shown in this picture is the patient being prepared for urgent medical care, the dedicated flight nurses and doctors traveling with them, the pilots preparing for takeoff, and the crewperson ensuring everything runs seamlessly.
None of this would be possible without your support - it's your generosity that helps fuel our aircraft, ensures our crew have the advanced training they need, and that each Air Ambulance Plane is equipped to provide ICU level care.

Flight Structures Ltd is excited to welcome Brendon Stewart to the FSL team!
Brendon is a qualified aircraft technician with extensive experience across New Zealand's aviation industry. He brings a strong background in aircraft maintenance and hands-on technical operations, along with the practical knowledge and attention to detail that make him a valuable addition to our growing team.
Alongside his work on the production floor, Brendon will also take on a dual role supporting our manufacturing office with administration and logistics, helping to keep our operations running smoothly from end to end.
We're delighted to have Brendon on board and look forward to the contribution he'll make across both our production and support functions.
Welcome to the team, Brendon!
When this AW169 mockup was built at Flight Structures for development purposes we didn't realise quite how useful it would be for the Westpac Rescue - Auckland team to use for training. It allows the crew to keep up with training in a cost- effective manner, so they know exactly what to do when in an operation.

This is an baaaaarnstormingly great idea for Hamilton Airport NZ.
UPDATE:
Well… ewe caught us 🐑
No sheep were harmed, relocated, or issued boarding passes today. But we hope we gave ewe a good laugh.
From our woolly spokesperson Gary:
“10/10 would consider flying … but only if snacks are included.”
Happy April Fools’ Day from the team at Hamilton Airport.
And in slightly less fluffy news, don't forget ewe can fly direct from Hamilton to the Gold Coast, Sydney, Christchurch and Wellington - even without using an emotional support sheep! 🐑

✈️✈️ BIG NEWS 🐑
Hamilton Airport is proud to announce a new passenger wellbeing initiative currently being trialled in the terminal: Emotional Support Sheep.
Feeling a little nervous before your flight? Our trained flock of four support sheep are available for 30-minute slots of pats, selfies, and quiet emotional reassurance prior to boarding.
The sheep are extremely calm, very approachable, toilet-trained and only occasionally attempt to eat boarding passes.
Passengers can collect their sheep after they’ve checked in from our Sheep Services Team, located in the Customer Zone.
Please ensure you return your sheep before boarding.
Tag someone who needs an emotional support sheep before flying. 🐑✈️😜

A fascinating photo of the current Part 66 Maintenance site, at NZAero.
That's our hangar on the left. Taken during WW2.

🍀 St Patrick’s Day at Flight Structures 🍀
The team at Flight Structures got into the St Patrick’s Day spirit by wearing green and celebrating together with some great pies, chips, and even green Fanta!
The luck of the Irish was definitely on Brandon’s side - he was our lucky Bingo winner for the day.
It was a fun way for the team to take a break, share some laughs, and enjoy the festivities together.

We’re growing our engineering team!
Flight Structures is thrilled to welcome two talented graduate engineers to the team.
Arthur joins us from Melbourne, Australia. He holds a Bachelor of Aerospace Engineering (Honours) from RMIT University and brings a strong foundation in aerospace design and analysis.
Finn comes to us from Christchurch with a Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) in Mechatronics from the University of Canterbury. His multidisciplinary background adds valuable capability across our engineering projects.
We’re excited to support their development and look forward to seeing the impact they’ll make as part of the Flight Structures team.
Please join us in giving them a warm welcome!

At 00:33 this morning, the sky treated us to an incredible lunar eclipse, and we’re lucky to have had someone ready to capture it.
A big thank you to our colleague, David Roberts, who took these fantastic photographs of the event. His passion for astrophotography (he proudly calls himself a bit of a “Luna-tic”!) truly shines through in every shot.
We’re delighted to share his work with you. Let us know which image is your favourite in the comments below.
