If your kids want to earn a few dollars these school holidays, why not challenge them to go through their shelves for books they’ve grown out of, to see what they can pass on to a new home?

We’re always looking for good quality kids’ and young adult books, so we can keep our shelves fresh and exciting, like our monthly Kids’ & YA Book Drop happening tonight!

Our handmade seasonal book sleeves are the perfect companion, and we’ve got three new looks in an all new book sleeve design by the wonderful Tangy Crafts 🍊 which will be available for preorder as part of our Halloween collection tonight.

And as someone who doesn’t always have a book on me (blasphemous, I know) I can’t believe how much I use my book sleeve. Whether for taking books away on holiday, popping my ereader in my bag, or even to protect my iPad when I’m out and about, I’ve gotten so much use out of it.

We’re trying something new with this Halloween collection, and it’s a little scary (although that seems appropriate for spooky season 👻)

It can be difficult as a small business to take the leap to bring in new products, weighing up huge initial costs vs unknown sales. To strike the right balance between having enough stock, but not too much stock, the right sizes, colours, etc.

We’re trialing preorders for our new range of NZ made tshirts, jumpers and book sleeves in our Halloween collection, as a way to bring you new and exciting items that we know you’ll love, and allow us to continue to grow in a sustainable way. Because we have so many cool things we want to share with you that are hard (or impossible) to find in NZ.
