Connecting teenage boys with positive role models.

Pointing them to the picture society often presents as “manhood” and showing them how it falls short of the original design.

Gifting the boys Nivea roll-ons and shaving kits, reminding them that caring for their bodies is a good and healthy thing.

Providing snacks and drinks on a special day to show them that they deserve to be celebrated too.

Creating moments of laughter, games, and connection with older-young people to remind them that play also has its place in life.

Having honest conversations and reflections about vision, discipline, accountability, service, wisdom, and the importance of unmasking yourself in order to become the man God designed you to be.

Yesterday’s MentorHIM event across 10 locations in Ibeju-Lekki and Eti-Osa Local Government Areas was about all this and more.

Happy International Day of the Boy Child💙

Good morning Lagos ☀️
Hello world 🌎

It’s this Friday 🕺🏽

Not a facilitator? Don’t worry — you can still be part of this 🙏
The last slide is just as important as the ones before it.

Partner with Teen Guide as we mentor, guide, and shape the next generation through authentic conversations.

We often underestimate the power we carry in our words.

Not the loud, dramatic ones😉, but the simple, timely ones.
A check-in. An encouragement. An honest conversation.

Most people aren’t looking for perfection; they’re looking to be seen, heard, and understood. And many times, that begins with just a few intentional words.

This week, be more deliberate.
Reach out.

Because conversations don’t just happen, someone starts them.

This is for our big brothers and …. some sisters 😊. Please share to a role model and good facilitator you know .

A P R I L 😇

New month. Same heart. Expanding community.

More than numbers. More than programs.
People behind the scenes. People showing up.
Volunteering. Giving. Participating.

Young adults. Teenagers. Adolescents.
Lives being shaped… together.

This month let’s keep showing up✨

There’s a leader in every young person.

Leadership does not begin with a title, a badge, or being chosen for an assignment. It begins the moment you realize, "I have value. I have something to offer.”

But potential alone is not enough.

Potential is only the starting point. Without awareness, discipline and the right mindset, it stays hidden. Leadership is what happens when you choose to use your potential, and that starts to refine it . For young people, they learn to take responsibility, make better decisions, and grow in character.

Yesterday at Olomu Community Senior Secondary School, we didn’t just talk about leadership, we helped students begin to see themselves differently.

Because when a young person starts to see clearly, they start to act differently, leading themselves, influencing others, positively.

And that’s where real impact begins.

😁 Volunteers before and after speaking to teenagers.
Phew 😅!

That moment when the presentation is over…
the message landed…
and the room actually listened.

Then comes the laughter, the deep breath, and that shared look of “we did it.”

This is the behind-the-scenes of youth work( preparation, courage, teamwork… and the quiet relief when it all comes together.

Excited to gather with all the amazing humans coming for our Teen Guide Volunteers Retreat tomorrow.

Teen Guide is stronger because of women like you.

Some of you sit on the board, asking the hard questions that make our work stronger.
Some of you open doors so opportunities reach girls who might never have imagined them.

Some Teen Guide women give quietly, ensuring the work continues.
Some of you fundraise loudly, rallying others to invest in young people and their futures.

Some listen, truly listen; to the questions, fears, and dreams young girls carry.
Some of you show up at events, schools, and meetings; a picture to upcoming women that their voice matters.

However you show up, we want you to know that, you strengthen this mission with your wisdom, generosity, time, and faith.

You are part of every teenager and young adult who walks away more inspired, equipped, and ready to make the right choices, part of every girl who walks away braver.

THANK YOU.

Happy International Women’s Day to the Teen Guide women 🩷
