Day two of our Digital Rights Academy (DRA) with media practitioners in Tanzania continues, as we equip them with not only understanding of digital rights issues, but also how to keep safe digitally while at their jobs.

In today's digital world, protecting rights increasingly means protecting our digital spaces too. This week, Paradigm Initiative is hosting a Digital Rights Academy in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe, bringing together journalists, civil society actors, young lawyers, students, and representatives of key institutions working to advance human rights and access to justice.

From June 24-25, participants will strengthen their understanding of digital rights, digital security, and online safety while gaining practical tools to navigate an increasingly complex digital landscape.

By equipping those at the forefront of rights protection with knowledge and skills, we are helping build a safer, more inclusive, and rights-respecting digital future for all.

⚖️ Law students can DRIBLE, and they did.

Last Saturday, the DRIBLE Campus Tour made its way to Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, bringing together aspiring legal professionals for an engaging conversation on digital rights and inclusion.

From screening our short film, The Signal, and exploring key digital rights issues to learning through the DRIBLE board game, participants had the opportunity to connect, reflect, and build their understanding of the digital challenges shaping our world today.

Law students can DRIBLE too. ⚖️

Tomorrow June 20th, our Digital Rights and Inclusion Board Learning Experience (DRIBLE) Campus Tour heads to Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, Nigeria, where we will engage the next generation of legal minds.

The tour will feature the screening of our short film, a digital rights training and of course, an amazing time playing the DRIBLE board game.

A justice system that keeps pace with technology is better equipped to protect rights in a rapidly evolving digital world.

Over the past four days, High Court Judges from across Nigeria deepened their understanding of critical digital-age issues, including privacy and data protection, cybercrime, artificial intelligence, digital security, and emerging evidentiary challenges.

The training delivered by Paradigm Initiative in partnership with Meta, the National Judicial Institute (NJI), and the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC), reflects our shared commitment to strengthening judicial readiness for the opportunities and challenges of the digital era.
