Your Dream, Your Future!
Special Announcement: Registration ends November 30, 2011 for the Effective Communication, Power Presentation and Public Speaking seminar. Click to register: http://www.positivedifferenceng.com/motivational_speaker2.html
Welcome!
Without a dream you can’t achieve anything meaningful in life. Dreams and wishes are not same. A bonafide dream must have specific goals to accomplish over time and space.
Your dream can be a reality! That’s right; you can live your dream in your future, which is not going to come to you, but already within you. When we are young, we are dreamers. Nothing seems too big for us to accomplish. Nothing seems too outrageous. The world was ours on a string until…“Reality” hits! Reality is what others want to box you in with, they say to you:
• “You can’t do that.”
• “Nobody has ever done that before.”
• “It will never work.”
• “You’ve gone off the deep end now, eh, you have taken it too far!”
All dreamers (who eventually become accomplishers) have heard these things. Yet they overcome them. They refuse to accept someone else’s “reality” for their own life. They let the average people live their average lives, bound by fear, while they pursued their chosen future—their dream! So don’t believe the people who tell you that you can’t or won’t. Believe your dream. Believe that it can be your future!
Once you have determined that you can actually live your dream, I want you to memorize this acronym …

Motivational Article 15: 10 Attitudes of Top Achievers!
Welcome!
What do these people have in common: Bill Gates, Richard Branson, Steve Jobs (of blessed memory), Oprah Winfrey, Aliko Dangote, Philip Emegwali etc.? Sometimes people have wondered what makes these great men and women tick; I began studying to find out and made some interesting discoveries. (We are currently working on a book on the top players in our nation and around the globe. Wait for it, it will be a classic!)
In this edition, I will give you tips common with these top achievers and if you can think like them, you will begin to get the same results they do. Here are some of the attributes:
1. See yourself as a consultant rather than a salesperson (everyone sells irrespective of vocation). Believe that you are a problem-solver with regard to your product, goods or service and how the client can best use it. Become a doctor of selling. Act in the best interests of your “patients” and have a high code of ethics. This is known as consultative selling.
2. Commit yourself to being the best in your field. Dedicate yourself to lifelong learning. Be a student of life. You must train to gain and you must learn in order to live.
3. Be ambitious, hungry, and determined to use selling as a steppingstone to the success you want in life. Steve jobs said to a class of graduating students in 2005 “ stay hungry, stay foolish and love what you do”…

Motivational Article 14: Winning in Leadership Excerpts
Welcome!
There is a seed of greatness in everyone and everyone is born a leader. Whether you end up a true leader is a choice you make, whether you exercise diligence to understand your special endowment and the patience to lend yourself to learning are all a personal decision. Last week we were at the Winning in Leadership seminar where we learnt principles and practical perspectives in leadership from those on top of their game and these include Chidi Okoro, Managing Director, GSK; Don Okhuofu, Director, Pneuma Advisory, Sunny Ekhalume, Senior Executive, Visafone and Samuel Mpamugo, Leadership Consultant, Nagid Consulting Kenya. What came across at the seminar was the panelists’ knack for continuous learning; they emphasized the value of remaining true & faithful in our relationship with others and in our chosen field of endeavor. It was a transformational experience for all the participants and below are excerpts of seminar.
Dimensions and perspectives in Leadership
Response (Chidi):
There are several dimensions of leadership and these include:
* Personal Leadership- this gives you the right and permission to lead, the right to communicate, right to facilitate. It’s critical to accomplishing corporate vision. Consider the story of Ray Kroc, though a salesman in the organization, saw a bigger vision than owners of McDonalds and got a smart lawyer who helped him buy over the business. In his case, leadership came from the bottom and this is the essence of personal leadership. Ref. book: 28 men & women that changed the way the world does business.
* Strategic Leadership: this deals with channeling all our efforts toward that common vision. To drive strategic leadership you must be clear on the vision. This ensures the right people are in the team. This probably gives the rationale behind Google’s decision to hire a 22year old as Vice President for Europe & Middle East...

Welcome!
It has been said that standard education will get you jobs, and self-education will make you fortunes. Reading is a key skill necessary to self-education. I read Ron White’s article recently and found some interesting statistics which say the average CEO in America reads four or five books per month while the average American reads one book per year! The statistics go on to say that 60 percent of those average Americans don’t even get past the first chapter in that one book! You may shrug and say hey Harry that is in America! Well, trouble is the figures are worse here at home, most likely our CEOs don’t read as much and fewer people read any book at all in the year; many go for years without reading any book at all and if you ask them why, they say they are busy. Don’t be too busy to learn.
Fill Your Head To Refill Your Pocket!
The next information from the same study is even more Interesting: The average CEO of a Fortune 500 company will earn an average of 536 times the salary of the average employee of the company he runs. This means that the employee of that company will work for a year and a half to equal the salary of the CEO for one day! What an extremely amazing and true statistic!
There is obviously much more difference between the CEO and the average employee than the fact that the CEO reads a lot of books and the employee doesn’t; but it is one of the major differences. It’s only logical to conclude that it is in our benefit and interest to learn to read and to read faster.
Someone said that life seems to keep the good things and very valuable thing on the high shelves which you reach by standing on the books you read. If you do everything that you were capable of you would truly astound yourself.
The human mind is the greatest computer ever created, when fed, will respond with results that will astound you. Benjamin Franklin said that if we take the pennies from our pockets and put them in our heads, our heads will then fill up our pockets once again.
Lifetime of Extra Fun & Income
The person who invests time educating himself will reap a lifetime of extra knowledge, fun and income. Attend that training today, read that book today, play that educational or self-improvement CD today. Do something to improve your knowledge today; it’s never too late to start.
Remember, you can be the best of who you were born to be, make the most of your life, be different. Sincerely, Harry Nnoli.
