- CUT Student Limpho Lepheana launches his book, I Am Proud To Be Ashamed

On 25 October 2022, Limpho Lepheana, an Advanced Diploma in Applied Management CUT student and the CEO of Maisha Solutions, launched his book titled “I Am Proud To Be Ashamed”.

The book aims to elucidate that life is a series of decisions where one must make daily choices. It is also for people who have been wronged or have perhaps wronged others - to know that there’s still a chance to make their lives worthwhile and become better versions of themselves.

The author recounts his experiences growing up as a child taken care of by blood relatives and the effects of the absence of a male figure in the upbringing of a boy child.

How one reader describes an author after reading a book.

These are the books that were supposed to be on sale at the book launch. There is only 50 of them. And I will keep end of my bargain....these 50 books will each sell for M180.00 only, this is a way of apologizing for the inconvenience we caused. Ha li feela we are going back to the price ea 210 per book...haeba leteng hard copies will still be available.

This price is applicable for Lesotho sales only. Deliveries shall be charged.

There is a new tentative date for a book launch.

We are still in negotiations with relevant stakeholders to collaborate with in this event. But one thing for sure is;

1.Books will be cheaper for you to attend
2.It will be bigger and better

We are eyeing dates around elections and and mental health day. It only makes sense to prepare psychologically for a new dawn!

Soo,first activity of Men On the Rise.
After conversations with the boys,we identified that more than we realize or acknowledge it, many boys lack father figures. There are too many reasons why our sons are raised by our parents or we do it on our own. We will not finish if we start the topic of why our children's fathers are not in their lives.

Irrespective of all these, boys need a close role model or a father figure of sorts. You may be the best mom in the world, however, that doesn't replace what a present father or father figure would do. (They told me this) It could be your brother, uncle, kore anyone.

Soo,this October, we are going to have an event Hlotse mona,where my boys and men are going to have a braai.

What bo abuti wanted to learn about was:
1. How to change car tires
2. How to tie a tie
3. How to Prepare and do braai
4. Which Deodorants and perfumes to use...
5. How to shave
6. I can't write the last one.

I am calling upon every man and boy who wants to take part in this to come through. While Men On The Rise is active in Hlotse only for now, the excitement I saw on the boys faces about this activity just made my year. It was affirmation that what we started indeed was necessary
