Let us introduce the other half of our Nat and Nat duo

Four years ago, two of our team members convinced Natalie to give Mayfield Homecare a try, and we couldn't be more thrilled that they did! Since then, Natalie has become an invaluable part of our family.

Natalie absolutely loves the team she works with every day and truly appreciates the incredible environment we have at Mayfield. After working elsewhere, she feels just how special our team is here. For Natalie, it doesn't even feel like work; it's like going out with friends and visiting family every day. And as a bonus, she says 'sometimes I can't believe I get paid for it'!

We are so grateful to have Natalie on our team and can't imagine Mayfield without her. Here's to many more years of great teamwork, visits with friends and family and many more cottage pies for Betty 🙂

Its festival season and we are super excited to announce that some of our team will be at Warrington Wellbeing Festival on Saturday 13th July and then Warrington Disability Awareness Day on Sunday 14th July. We cannot wait to spend two days having a good old natter with the people of Warrington :)

Today is a bittersweet day at Mayfield Homecare, It’s the first Friday in 22 years that we know June won't be popping in with her diary in hand, sharing with us her notes and feedback from her visits to our clients.

June, today marks the beginning of your well-deserved retirement, and by the sounds of it, you'll be keeping super busy! But remember, if you ever get bored, you are always welcome back with open arms.

Throughout your incredible 22-year tenure, you've only ever delivered exceptional care with compassion. We can't thank you enough for your dedication and hard work.

A massive thank you, June, from all of us at Mayfield Homecare and from all the clients whose lives you've touched. You will be missed, but we are so happy for you as you embark on this new chapter.

It’s Thursday, so it's time for our intro post. Everyone, meet Chris! 28 years of dedicated service, wow, just wow. Chris has been a cornerstone of Mayfield Homecare. We are incredibly proud of Chris’s commitment and excellence over these years.

Chris started working for Mayfield Homecare thanks to her sister-in-law, who pointed her in our direction. We are immensely grateful to her for guiding Chris to us all those years ago. Over the years, Chris has had the pleasure of meeting so many wonderful people. Her kindness, dedication, and consistency have made a lasting impact on both her colleagues and the people we care for.

What sets Mayfield apart, according to Chris, is the consistency of care—having the same faces week in and week out is loved by us as carers, just as much as it is loved by our clients. The familiarity helps us resolve any problems as we get to know each individual and their needs.

Chris says, “I have really enjoyed my time at Mayfield. It doesn’t feel like a job; it feels like I am visiting people that I know. I would do this job for free.”

Chris, thank you for always being there. We are preparing a new 28-year contract for you!

We are thrilled to introduce Margaret, one of our wonderful clients who has been with Mayfield Homecare Services since 1998, that’s 26 years and counting. Initially, her care was organised by the hospital, which brought her to us, and we have been privileged to support her ever since.

Over the years, Mayfield has made a significant difference in Margaret's life by helping with tasks she cannot do on her own. Margaret describes our level of care and attention as excellent and appreciates the consistency in the caregivers who visit her. This continuity has been particularly comforting to her.

What Margaret loves most about Mayfield is the dedication of our carers. She feels they are incredibly good at what they do and is always grateful for their punctuality and reliability. Her message to our team is heartfelt: "Thank you for never letting me down, for always being on time, and for providing me with such good care."

We are so grateful for Margaret's kind words and for allowing us to be part of her journey. Her feedback inspires us to continue delivering exceptional care every day.

We are thrilled to introduce Lesley (back centre in this lovely picture), a cherished member of the Mayfield Homecare family. If you ask Lesley how long she's been a care giver, she'll tell you, "I've only been a carer for 5 minutes." In reality, Lesley joined us almost 2 years ago, and it feels like she's been a part of our team for years. Both our care team and clients absolutely adore her.

Lesley transitioned into care from her previous role. After researching care providers in Warrington, she felt that Mayfield was the perfect fit. What she enjoys most about working here is the teamwork. Everyone at Mayfield genuinely cares about the best interests of our clients.

What sets Mayfield apart, according to Lesley, is the outstanding care and compassion we give to our clients. It's not just about providing care; it's about building bonds and making a real difference in their lives.

Lesley has many memorable moments from her time at Mayfield. One particularly touching memory is of a client who was almost 101 years old and had a real thing for tissues. Lesley affectionately called her the little tissue monster, and in return, the client called Lesley her tattoo monster. It's these special bonds that make the job so rewarding for Lesley.

Lesley has a wealth of stories about the close relationships she's formed with those she cares for. Her warmth, dedication, and sense of humour make her an invaluable part of our team.

At Mayfield, we believe in providing the right care, at the right time, with the RIGHT PEOPLE. And today, we're thrilled to introduce you to one of our amazing caregivers, Lorraine! Let us tell you a bit about her journey and why she's such a vital part of our family.

Lorraine joined Mayfield in 2004. While she briefly worked with two other service providers, she ultimately found her way back to us. As Lorraine says, "I've tried the rest, and I am with the best!"

What made Lorraine start working with Mayfield? She was drawn to us by our outstanding reputation and our incredible care team.

"I am well supported in my role," says Lorraine. "The team is always on the other end of the phone, offering a friendly voice to guide you if required." Our team believes in supporting each other every step of the way. Although nowadays and with nearly 20 years care experience, Lorraine is now usually one of those answering the phones and offering support to our newest team members.

What sets Mayfield apart? According to Lorraine, "The quality of care that we all give as a team, and the confidence that it gives our clients and their families." We take pride in delivering top-notch care that brings peace of mind to our clients and their loved ones.

But there's more to Lorraine's story. "I love the fact that I get the opportunity to make my clients feel valued and listened to every day. We aren’t rushed to finish our time with our clients when our jobs are done; we love staying for a chat and really getting to know everyone," she shares. "I treat all the people I care for like my own parents." Her dedication shines through in every interaction she has.

Lorraine's family is deeply involved with Mayfield too! Her sister Julie and niece Natalie, who we introduced you to last week, are also part of our amazing team, and we're thrilled to announce that Lorraine's daughter will soon join us as well!

🌟 Allow us to introduce Vera and Carol! 🌟

Vera has been with Mayfield Homecare Services for 6 years now, we have been through a lot together. Up until 2022, we had the pleasure of mainly speaking with her son John, who lived with Vera, John sadly passed away suddenly that year, which filled everyone with sadness. We can't imagine how much of a void this must have left for Vera and Carol, as its clear that they were such a great team. Vera should be super proud of the fantastic job she has done bringing up two children up into two very lovely, caring adults. Although Carol lives a few hours away, she is still very much a huge part of Vera's life and the organisation of Vera's care, it’s a pleasure to speak with her, we love being here for them and we love Carol popping into to see us.

Vera says, "My son's opinion mattered a lot to me, and he did his research. He chose Mayfield because he knew I needed the best care when he was away at work."

And Carol agrees, "My brother John recommended Mayfield as the best, and he was right."

Mayfield has made a significant difference in both Vera and Carol's lives. Vera mentions, "Mayfield helps me stay at home and keeps my independence. Their care has been exceptional, always making me feel at ease. All the carers are so nice and respectful to my needs"

For Carol, it's about peace of mind, "Knowing that Mum is properly cared for brings me so much relief. Mayfield's attention to detail is exceptional, always willing to support us with any extra asks we have. The caring nature of everyone who attends is truly remarkable"

When asked if they would recommend Mayfield, both Vera and Carol replied with a resounding "Absolutely!" Vera insists, "They provide the best service," and Carol agrees, "They are the best in every department."

And what do they think about our team? both simply said "EXCEPTIONAL," Vera added, "They are always willing to go above and beyond."

Today we share this picture again ‘A Rose between two wonderful carers’

Last week, we had the pleasure of introducing you to Rose, our amazing client of 9 years and counting. Today, we're excited to shine the spotlight on Julie and Natalie, two absolute gems in our Mayfield family and a dynamic mother-daughter duo.

Julie has been dedicated to caring for our Mayfield client's for an impressive 23 years. Natalie, inspired by her mother's compassion and commitment, joined our team 13 years ago. It's truly heartwarming to see this special bond between them when they work together to make a difference.

Julie initially started with a different provider, but had a challenging experience and came to us intending to focus on domestic work. However, after chatting with Julie, we knew she was meant to be a full-time carer. Her infectious, chatty personality has a way of brightening anyone's day. And it's no surprise that Natalie shares the same warmth and compassion – it's definitely a case of like mother, like daughter.

When you have the privilege of having Julie and Natalie together, it's an absolute delight. Their teamwork and dedication to our clients and our Mayfield family are truly inspiring.

Both Julie and Natalie agree what sets Mayfield apart is the dedication of every team member to go above and beyond for our clients. They've built lasting relationships, not only with our clients but also with other team members, making Mayfield feel like home.

Today Mayfield Homecare Services bid farewell to one of our cherished team members, Val (second from left), who is embarking on retirement. Val has been hinting at this for a while, but we were hoping the day would never come. Yet here we are, celebrating her incredible 7+ years. Throughout her time with us, Val has only ever received glowing feedback from her clients. She is held in the highest regard by everyone here.

Val came to say her farewells on Friday, and she was absolutely delighted to receive a heartfelt card from one of our newest team members, Anna. It was touching for Val, as Anna thanked her for helping her settle into her new life in care. This just goes to show the profound impact Val has had, not only on our clients but also on her peers.

Val, we wish you all the best as you embark on this new chapter of your life. May your retirement be filled with joy, relaxation, and countless happy memories. Thank you for your dedication and hard work over the years. You will be deeply missed, but your legacy will live on in the hearts of those you've touched. Here's to a super happy retirement!

We're privileged to have Rose under our care, we love her. Rose's decision to give Mayfield a try all those years ago, was influenced by the relationship we had with her sister whom we also cared for over an incredible 22 years.

Recently, we had a conversation with Rose about her experience with Mayfield. She shared with us the profound impact we've had on her life. Being able to remain in the comfort of her own home has been transformative, thanks to our attentive and dedicated care team and just how much she trusts and loves everyone who visits her.

According to Rose, our care team isn't just excellent; they're fantastic! Their consistent presence week after week brings her immense comfort, knowing the same familiar faces are coming. When asked what message she would like to share with our incredible care team, Rose simply said, "YOU ARE ALL FANTASTIC!"

Today marks one year since Mayfield lost someone very dear to us. We would like to pay tribute to Grace. Her presence in our lives will forever be cherished and remembered.
Every day for the past year, as we walk in, we are greeted by the memory of Grace's beautiful face. It serves as a poignant reminder of how fragile and unpredictable life can be. Grace was taken from us far too soon.
Grace's passing also reinforces the importance and significance of the work we do as caregivers. We dedicate ourselves to helping others during their brief time here on Earth. It's a constant reminder that our profession holds a profound purpose in bringing comfort, support, and care to those in need.
Grace, you are still in our thoughts, and your memory lives on within us. We hope that wherever you are, you are at peace, resting in the serenity you so deserve.
Let us take a moment today to remember Grace, and the impact she had on our lives. May her spirit continue to inspire us to be compassionate, loving, and dedicated in our profession. Together, let's carry forward the torch she lit, ensuring that her memory remains alive through our actions.
