Now, while Danny is usually far too busy telling the world how amazing everyone else is, we know he’d never share something like this himself, not because he’s shy, far from it, because he genuinely sees himself as the least important person in the organisation.

But we saw this, and we loved it.
Not just because it celebrates a personal milestone, but because it's someone else's words, reflecting exactly what we see in him every day: the positive energy, the kindness, the drive, and the way he lifts those around him.

And while we’re here — we genuinely don’t know how he’s managed to lose any weight, given the industrial volume of snacks he gets through in a day. 🍫🍪🍬

Double Recognition Time

Not all of our amazing care team are comfortable being in the spotlight, but we simply couldn't let this month go by without shining it on Natalie O — our first ever Double Recognition Month winner!

What is available in Warrington if I need support or a loved one needs support?

We’ve been asked a lot of questions recently, so we wanted to clear something up and make sure everyone knows what’s available when it comes to care options.

Some people have been told they can’t choose their care provider if that provider isn’t on the Warrington Borough Council commissioned list.

This simply isn’t true.

👉 You DO have the right to choose your care provider — whatever your funding situation.

If you or a loved one needs care, you can request a Direct Payment from the local authority. This allows you to choose a provider that works best for you — not just the ones on the commissioned list. There are many fantastic, passionate care providers in Warrington who are here to support you.

Unfortunately, many families aren’t aware of this option and miss out on services that could make a real difference.

Please help us raise awareness by sharing this post. Everyone deserves to know their rights and feel empowered to choose the right care, with the right people.

A Quiet Goodbye from a Remarkable Team Member

Some people don’t want the fuss, and the person who left us this note is certainly one of them. She wishes to remain anonymous, which says a lot about her character, humble, kind, and always putting others before herself. But we couldn’t let her go without saying something…

This incredible individual rejoined our team back in 2020 and, for the last five years, has been a constant presence more or less every Friday and Saturday evening from 7:30pm to 10:30pm, like clockwork. Same clients, same warmth, same reliability. She’s been a dream member of our wonderful team, someone we trusted wholeheartedly, and more importantly, someone our clients trusted and adored.

She did all of this on top of a full-time job outside the care sector. Why? because she genuinely loved her life here. She loved seeing her clients (her friends) every weekend. That joy was mutual, and it showed in everything she did and everything our clients said about her over the years.

She obviously saw some of our videos online (and Danny’s less-than-subtle attempts to stop people retiring!), she knew the only way she’d be allowed to quietly leave was to simply drop us a note:

“Sorry, and thank you for a lot of memories. So sad to leave.”

To the person behind that note:

We’re the ones who are sorry.
We’re the ones who are sad.
And it is us that want to thank YOU for the memories
