A beautiful example of how important it is to teach our children that communication isn't always about the spoken word. For those with hearing, speech or language difficulties, it can become a very lonely world. More schools are now teaching Sign Language and we hope that one day it will be standard across the board.
Tallulah and delivery driver Tim have struck up an amazing friendship during lockdown ❤️️
This must’ve been terrifying for the family.
💚🐛🦋Posting for Awareness!! Thanks to mum Donna Fry for sharing this:
“My daughter is four years old she absolutely loves animals and insects today she made friends with a little caterpillar 🐛 she had it on her hands for a few minutes, within 10 Minutes her whole body was itching all over and her face began to swell within minutes she was unrecognisable, she was rushed to hospital by ambulance who thankfully came within minutes. The reason for my post is I had literally no idea that certain caterpillars are literally lethal, my daughter was so lucky today she received outstanding care from the NHS but things could seriously have been so different.”
This looks like a oak processionary moth caterpillar. It is the subject of a control and containment programme co-ordinated by the Forestry Commission and should be reported when found.

Friends team up to help community in pandemic
Thanks to the Warrington Guardian for sharing our news today. If you see our car out and about then please give us a wave!
Fretus is supporting our local NHS organized by Anne Jackson
You have noticed a change in the branding on here and this is why!
Look up Fretus in the dictionary and you will see that it means trusting, supported, relying upon, depending on and that’s exactly what you will get from the 3 business partners who have set up Fretus Group Ltd.
The group of friends from Warrington made the decision to go into business and had agreed to place plans on hold until the current Coronavirus Pandemic had settled. With demand for their services higher than ever their launch, albeit low key, was inevitable.
Ade Cunliffe has worked within the NHS and emergency service on the front line for many years and is currently working in phase one clinical research for numerous private companies. Russell Treasure, Mindfulness and Wellbeing expert and Anne Jackson, ex CEO and Marketing consultant have set up Fretus Group Ltd as each one of them is individually committed to improving the physical and mental health of the local community. By coming together, they can provide crucial medical support, health and safety training and Mindfulness with large community events planned for the future.
Based in Warrington, Fretus is already offering online Mindfulness sessions to individuals and businesses whose staff are in lockdown and working from home. Russell Treasure has been delivering Mindfulness across the region for over 7 years and with regular clients relying on the sessions to support the mental wellbeing of their teams, the decision to move online was an easy one. One group that has already benefited is the Rugby League Mental Health Programme, Offload. A recent session saw 18 participants logging on to ‘Zoom’ for support from who they have described as their ‘virtual yoda!’
The company is keen to ensure they support the local community in the most proactive way possible and has invested in a first responders’ vehicle that will be driven and managed by Ade Cunliffe. Ade has been involved with the NHS for nearly 30 years and is well known locally as First Aid Ade. Already providing emergency response to the NHS and as senior medic at the Halliwell Jones Stadium home of the Warrington Wolves, Ade is responsible for crowds of 14,000 per game. Fretus will be expanding on that existing work with the vehicle available free of charge to the NHS and local care providers during the Coronavirus Pandemic.
Funded by Fretus, the company is asking the local community to also get involved in helping to fund the vehicle for as long as possible by donating via Go Fund Me - https://www.gofundme.com/f/9ve2wr-supporting-our-local-nhs. All monies raised will go directly to helping the Fretus vehicle remain on the road long term.
Fretus is also offering a free Q&A session with Ade Cunliffe and Russell Treasure on 16th April at 7pm via Zoom. Virtual attendees will be given the opportunity to ask questions about First Aid and Mental Health with Fretus asking for questions to be submitted in advance to [email protected].
Anne Jackson, Director, said “we are living in unprecedented times and the thought of starting a new business right now is daunting, but we believe that we have something vital to offer our community. Now more than ever, we need to be looking after each other and those most vulnerable. We really hope to make a difference to the lives of our local community now and in the future”.

If someone approached you with a mental health problem, would you be able to help them, would you simply roll up your sleeves and know exactly what to do or would you panic and start googling what to do next?
