Microneedling magic ✨

On the last day of Acne Awareness Month I thought I’d share these amazing results.

Back in the treatment room after a wonderful break and I have some very exciting news to share. Bloomfield Aesthetics is moving!

I’ve been based at Brhaive salon for 2 years now. I’ll be very sad to leave and I will miss all the girls terribly,
but it’s time for a bigger space, and a clinic to call my own and I couldn’t be more excited!

The renovations are currently underway, so stay tuned for updates and sneak peaks of the new clinic as it progresses.

Part 2 of this lower face rejuvenation…

When assessing the face I split it into equal thirds, upper, middle and lower face. We start to see the effects of ageing in the lower face, and as all my patients will know (from me harping on about it), it is important to assess the middle of the face in the first instance as this is the structure and support.

In this case my lovely patient had wonderful mid-face and lateral cheek volume so we didn’t need to address this. Instead we focussed on tightening the lower face by placing filler along the jawline and chin, softening the marionettes, supporting the pre-jowl sulcus and balancing the profile by projecting the chin slightly.

My wonderful patient had some volume loss over the angle of the jaw which was contributing to a heaviness in the central part of the lower face.

By replacing the lost volume in this area we were able to reduce the heaviness noted in the jowl area.

I treated the angle of the jaw in combination with the chin and pre-jowl sulcus. I’ll be sharing the results of that treatment very soon.

Hello everyone!

It’s been a long time since I posted on here, about 6 months! 🫢

I’ve been doing a very intense university course and I just couldn’t dedicate the time needed (or have the brain capacity) for my course and a social media account, so I made the decision to park it for a bit. This was a hard one to make, as a small business owner you’re made to feel as though social media is the holy grail of attracting clients and I was worried I wouldn’t have a business by the end of it.

Turns out I do, and that’s thanks to all my loyal patients who choose to keep returning to me.

So I want to thank you all for the repeat custom, for the referrals to your friends, for being patient with me and understanding during a very stressful 6 months.

Doing this course will enable me to grow the business and become more self sufficient so it really has been priceless!

Oh hey bright eyes 🙋🏻‍♀️

This lovely patient came to see me as she had been concern about her under eyes for some time and decided enough was enough.

After a thorough consultation we decide that she would be a good candidate for tear trough filler (not everyone is).

I treated her with Teosyal Redensity 2, a high quality filler, manufactured specifically for the treatment of under eye hollows.

After a couple of weeks she came back for a review and we decided that a further treatment was needed to achieve the desired result. I only ever use 1ml (0.5ml per side) in each sitting for this area as it is not an area you want to overfill.

I always offer a review appointment a few weeks later, so we can see how the filler has settled.

My favourite glow up yet!

This gorgeous patient has kindly allowed me to share before and afters of what I think has been the most impactful part of her glow up, the lower face.

This patient is the absolute dream, she visits me regularly, always takes my advice and is diligent with her personalised skincare routine and these are the results!!

The power of cheek filler 👊🏻

My lovely client didn’t like the lines that were coming down onto her cheek. She has had a little anti-wrinkle treatment around the eyes before but that has never resolved the problem.

During a thorough consultation I explained the issue here is volume loss in the lateral cheek. The cheeks are the scaffold of our faces, they hold everything up nice and high.

As we age we lose bone and our superficial fat pads deplete and get smaller. As a result of this, we often see the signs of ageing in the lower face, but the problem actually started in the cheeks.

By replacing volume to the lateral cheek we have given back some of the support that has been lost therefore reducing the lines.

My patient will return for some anti-wrinkle treatment and a skin booster to improve the skin quality in that area, as it is important to treat ageing at all levels.

Here we focussed on supporting the pre-jowl area (highlighted with arrows) to give a more contoured appearance, and projecting the chin slightly (not visible from this angle).

My patient is relatively young so only a small amount of high quality filler was needed here. As always the result is subtle, aesthetic treatments should whisper not shout!
