Strautmann wagon currently being refurbished. New 6mm liner kit made and welded in as well as new buttresses. I have also put 10mm on the floor which isn’t something I have done before but it has gone in well. This wagon will have new augers fitted. Dare I say it… I just need a week of nice weather to sand blast a re spray now 🫣

A drive coupling I machined to allow a McConnel trimmer rotor to be mounted in a rotor balancing machine. Machined on the lathe without turning the part to ensure everything was concentric, internal keyway cut and fl**ge divided, drilled and threaded👌🏼

Apologies for the lack of posts, it’s been ABSOLUTE CARNAGE !! A recent line boring job- an old school Farm master with some pretty spectacular wear, now good as new with fresh bushes fitted 👌🏼

It not just Big parts I machine. This particular job, an obsolete spool valve collet required a Micro boring bar and face grooving tool to be used. Nothings impossible, Everything can be replicated, it has already been made once before 👌🏼

I had a lot of comments on the original Lucas liner kit I made a few years back. How’s this for an upgrade for the same customer, this time not only was it a brand new Lucas castor + 80R but the customer also wanted 5mm 450 HARDOX plate used as well as 8mm 450 HARDOX on the flywheel 🥵 hopefully this will last a few years of 25 bales a day through her. The chute sections were also lined but unfortunately I lost the pictures. 🌾🌾🐄

This was a pretty cool project to be involved with. A Claas 850 forager which had to be cut down by 150mm either side before heading to its new home in Guernsey. This was not easy. The cab platforms, handrails, steps, step base platform all had to be cut down, the fuel filler re positioned and many panels had to be made from scratch to tie it all together nicely, these included the small infill strip behind the steps, the handrail panel on the step base platform, the lower door panel above the toolbox and as well as a whole new toolbox fabricated using a set of doors off a breaker machine. I was also asked to fabricate a set of additive drum holders for this machine.
