Last Friday, we hosted conceptual photographers Hesham Ragab & Yasmin Elkassem, who explored how photography moves beyond documentation into conceptual expression, new visual techniques, and the evolving language of images in the digital and AI era.

About Adam Abdelghaffar:

Adam Abdelghaffar is an Egyptian film director and scriptwriter whose work combines character-driven storytelling with a distinctive visual sensibility.
His most recent work is The Frenchman (Al Fransawy), a series he wrote and directed, starring Amr Youssef. He previously co-created, co-wrote, and directed episodes of the anthology series Nemra Etneen.

Adam also wrote and directed the award-winning short film Fork & Knife, starring Menna Shalaby, Asser Yassin, and Eyad Nassar. Its screenplay won first prize at the El Gouna Film Festival, before the film travelled to several regional and international festivals.
Before moving into film and television, Adam spent nearly a decade as a Creative Director at Leo Burnett, learning how to capture attention, communicate ideas, and turn words into memorable images. He is also a visual artist whose work has been exhibited in several countries.
Working across writing, directing, and visual art has shaped his approach to storytelling: every line on the page is a promise—and the director must be ready to live up to it.

About Georges & Samuel Mohsen:

Georges & Samuel Mohsen are Cairo-based Egyptian documentary and architectural photographers, violinists and visual researchers. Since 2008, their practice has explored architecture, memory, identity, and sociopolitical change.

Their photographs have been published internationally in TIME, Bauwelt, The World of Interiors, CNN, Forbes, Dumas, ArchDaily, Designboom, BBC, The Washington Post, and Le Parisien. Their work includes major cultural and architectural projects such as the Grand Egyptian Museum, La Maison d’Égypte in Paris, and works by Le Corbusier in France. Since 2021, they have taught photography at Photopia Cairo,.
Beyond photography, Georges & Samuel are violinists, Suzuki violin pedagogues, and music educators. Since 2007, they have led the Suzuki Violin Program at Cairo Suzuki Music Center, where they continue to teach and mentor young musicians alongside their photography practice.

About Felix Speller:
Felix Speller is a London-based photographer specialising in interiors and design. Over the past decade he has built an international practice working with leading designers, publications, brands and cultural institutions, with commissions taking him across Europe, the United States, the Middle East and beyond.

His clients include Architectural Digest, Cassina, Romo Black Edition, Soho House, Rosewood Hotels, Ferm Living, Spotify and the Design Museum, alongside leading designers and studios internationally. His work in Egypt has included collaborations with Egyptian designers Tarek Shamma and Alia El Tanani, as well as editorial commissions for Architectural Digest Middle East. His photography has been published extensively across global editions of Architectural Digest and Elle Decoration, as well as Wallpaper*, Kinfolk, the Financial Times, Sunday Times Style, Dezeen and other international design and culture titles.
