For years, good architecture has helped developers navigate complex systems and make changes with confidence.
Unlike traditional development tools that rely on rigid structural rules, AI tools need to understand the context and intent of a codebase before they can modify it. The larger and less structured the system is, the more context they need to process, which often means more time wasted and higher cost.

Does that make architecture even more important?
Or does it simply change the reasons why we value it?
It's still early, and there probably isn't a single right answer.
