Mrs. Richardson’s class enjoyed their lovely late summer walk around the park and have submitted their Fair entries on time. Great job, Sabres!

Attention Seniors! You should make a habit of popping into Student Services to check out the “Awards, Scholarships & Bursaries” board and heed the application deadlines. You should also be following / checking the “SCS Guidance Office” page for timely individualized updates AND to go through the Master List of Awards, Scholarships & Bursaries found in the CONTENT folder across the top. See Mr. Dale for more information as needed.

Our baseball team battled hard today on the field with a 3-3 tie with McKinnon lead by strong pitching from Liam and Sophie. Our second game was a tough one against a pitcher with a 90 mile per hour pitch, however the team battled hard and finished with a 6-2 loss to Holy Trinity. Kowen hit in a run and Hunter led the sabres at the plate. Great job all! Get ready for BCI next Wednesday!

Save the date! A delicious fundraiser to support the football team is coming up on Thursday, October 15 😋

This week & today, SCS marked National Truth & Reconciliation Day in many ways: through various in-class lessons, videos, and discussions; art projects; 200 orange-sprinkle donuts sold by the Equity Club to benefit the Gord Downey & Chaney Wenjack Fund; a detailed formal announcement about the 165-year history of residential schools in British North America & Canada; a full-school standing Minute of Silence; and more. Today’s SCS Sabres ARE committed to Truth & Reconciliation, as reflected so articulately on the scores of orange shirt cutouts posted this week in our main foyer!✊🏼🪶

Interested in an exciting, perhaps life-changing short-term or full year international student exchange? Please attend the information session tomorrow, Thursday Oct. 1st, at lunch in the Library’s seminar room. See Mr. Dale for more information or just show up there and then. ✈️ 🌍 👋
