Don’t worry- the parents are nearby. This is their second batch of chicks that they have hatched in their nest on our porch this season. It’s right over our door, so they are used to people coming and going.
Dinner time! The noise you will hear the background is a red breasted sap sucker signalling his territory on an aluminum ladder (or maybe he’s trying to find aluminum sap😁).
