On Thursday, August 20 at 10:30 AM, we'll be making an Ocean in a Jar, and on Friday, August 21 at 1:30 PM, come celebrate with a fun Lilo & Stitch themed afternoon.

The BC Summer Reading Club is officially coming to an end! 📚☀️ We’ve had such a fun summer, and now it’s time to celebrate all your reading! This year, we have medals 🥇 (first come, first served), Fruitsicles coupons 🍧, and stickers ⭐ for you to collect. That’s three prizes to take home and one very happy face! 😄💚

Come by the library today or anytime throughout the rest of August to collect your prizes! Prizes are available while supplies last, so don’t miss out!

Today we have Nadia from CCRR at Neighbourhood Storytime at 11am. Crafts right afterwards with Daphne. We are making collages or different objects made out of cut-out shapes. Lots of glue and cutting for those who love using their hands. Come on by the library today! At 1:30, we are playing a Shark's Tale. Or you can sit in the kid's section and play some board games. Lots to do at the library today.

Our totally FREE, very popular Lego and Vex Robotics Programs are back at Salt Spring Island Public Library!

Registration opens on Monday, August 17th at 10am.

We do recommend signing up exactly at 10am, as these often fill up very quickly!

This Friday marks the August mid-way point. It also cues this Library's wrap up of the BC Summer Reading Club.
We hope you and your kiddos have enjoyed some summer reading time - and we'd like to reward your children for meeting their reading goals, and participating in the BC Summer reading club, with PRIZES - as supplies last.
We've got medals, stickers AND... gift cards for Fruitsicles from Salt Spring Fruitsicles! kids may choose one of each - meaning kids can leave with 3 things if they like! NOTE: medals are in shortest in supply, so it will be first-come-first served for those.

Which means technically tomorrow, but in the wee hours of the tomorrow, and in the who's-even-awake-now-that-wants-to-call-this-a-new-day sense of tomorrow.
I think we'll try to check it out before bed. 💫 One shooting star, seen by all, and we can go in. Hopefully. :)💤
