The ACT's plein air painting session on August 13 offers:
✨ Artist-led mentorship
✨ Immersive plein air experience
✨ Constructive critique in a group setting

This engaging outdoor painting experience is designed for painters who already have some foundational experience and are seeking to deepen their understanding of light, atmosphere, and composition while creating on the beautiful grounds of Whonnock Lake Park.

ARTIST CALL: What do daydreams look like? 💭👇

🖼️ The ACT Art Gallery is currently looking for original artwork inspired by personal experiences of daydreaming or artists who use daydreaming as an artistic practice. A wide range of interpretations of the theme are welcomed.

✨ Through personal daydreams shared by each artist, this exhibition will explore the space between memory, escapism, and whimsy, revealing how daydreaming transforms pre-existing realities and inspires new ones.

In partnership with Fraser Health MHSUS - Recreation Therapy, City of Maple Ridge presents The Journey, an awareness public art show highlighting the recovery stages of mental health experience 🧠🌱.

ℹ️ Submissions for this project are open until August 31 and can be dropped off at the Maple Ridge Leisure Centre.

🎨 Residents are encouraged to submit frameable works in a variety of mediums: painting, drawing, digital illustration, photography, collage, and mixed media.
