Arts On / The Maple Ridge and Pitt Meadows Arts Council has awarded $10,000 in scholarships to four graduating SD42 students, recognizing their artistic achievement and supporting their next steps in post-secondary education.

🎨 Reminder: Arts Partner Grant applications close tomorrow

If your organization has an artistic project or activity that benefits the community, Arts Partner Grants can help support future initiatives in Maple Ridge and Pitt Meadows.

Funding is available to registered charities with CRA charitable status and is intended for upcoming projects only—not past work or general operating costs.

🌞 Summer Camps are almost here!

Registration is open for eight weeks of Arts On Summer Camps at Riverside Centre, running July 6 – August 28 for elementary-aged children.

Some featured camps include:
🎭 Imaginative Play Camp – storytelling, movement, and collaborative games
🪄 The Art of Magic – beginner tricks, illusion, and confidence-building fun
🎨 Creative Arts Camp – hands-on visual art projects and exploration

Families can choose half-day camps or build a full-day schedule with lunch supervision.

🆕 After-camp care is also available for families needing extended coverage.

🌞 Summer Camp Volunteers Wanted

Arts On is looking for youth and adult volunteers to help support our summer art camps for elementary-aged children.

Volunteers work alongside teaching artists in busy, creative week-long camps, helping with activities, organization, and creating a positive experience for campers.

It’s a great opportunity for anyone who enjoys working with children and wants to be part of a collaborative arts environment this summer.

🎹 Piano Bar is tomorrow!

A limited number of tickets are still available for an evening at The Loft at Meadow Gardens with Kerry O'Donovan, singer & pianist on the keys.

If you haven’t been before, this is a great chance to get to know Kerry and the way he approaches Piano Bar—reading the room, taking requests, and building the music in real time from what people want to hear. Come ready with a few songs and see where the evening goes.

Arts On / The Maple Ridge and Pitt Meadows Arts Council is seeking community-minded individuals to join its Board of Directors for the 2026–27 season.

Board service is an opportunity to help guide the future of the arts in Maple Ridge and Pitt Meadows, while supporting the growth and impact of the Arts Council in the community.

We are especially interested in applicants with experience in legal, finance or accounting, human resources, strategic planning, not-for-profit leadership, governance, or visual and performing arts practice.

If you live or work in Maple Ridge or Pitt Meadows and are committed to strengthening the local arts community, we encourage you to apply.

Eight weeks of creative fun for elementary-aged children, running July 6 – August 28 at Riverside Centre.

Each week features a range of half-day camps designed to balance creativity, play, and skill-building in a supportive environment. Families can register for one half-day camp per week, or combine two camps for a full-day schedule with lunch supervision.

🆕 New this summer: After-camp care is available for an additional fee for families needing extended care. When combined with a full-day camp, after-camp care includes access to Lunch Hub at no additional cost.

🎨 We’re hiring: Arts Instructors

Arts On is looking for engaging, creative instructors to lead arts programs for children and youth across Maple Ridge and Pitt Meadows.

Instructors support hands-on learning in a variety of disciplines, helping students build confidence, skills, and a love of the arts in a fun, supportive environment.
