Today, our team was called to assist in the search for a missing male in North Langley.
Without a moment’s notice, our members dropped what they were doing and responded quickly, working alongside Langley RCMP, RCMP Air Services, and partner SAR teams in a coordinated effort to bring the search to a successful outcome.
Thanks to the rapid response and teamwork of everyone involved, the subject was located and transferred to medical care, with EHS transporting him Code 3 to hospital. Outcomes like this are a reminder of why fast response and strong partnerships matter.
We are incredibly grateful for the privilege of working so closely with Langley RCMP and would also like to thank South Fraser Search and Rescue and Ridge Meadows Search and Rescue for sending members to assist today’s operation.
Excellent teamwork by all involved.

You might have noticed our team in Pitt Meadows near the Alouette River last night, where we carried out an extensive training operation.
We had our entire fleet out. Boats on Pitt River and Pitt Lake, kayaks on Alouette River, SxS, e-bikes, and ground teams, worked together to search the d**e system for our subject.
The training session focused on developing our team's expertise and area knowledge, which ultimately contributed to the successful location of our subject.
Every Wednesday evening, our team engages in diverse training activities, including first aid, rope rescue, swiftwater, ETTS, ground searches, and routine maintenance tasks just to name a few.

On April 27, 2026, at approximately 10:35am, RMSAR responded a marine incident at the Port Haney Wharf. Below is the statement from the RCMP:
“Frontline officers immediately attended the area and learned that an adult male may have fallen into the Fraser River at this location and did not resurface.
Officers searched the surrounding area and did not observe anyone in distress in the water or surfacing on the waterline.
Maple Ridge RCMP has deployed the detachment’s boat and is being assisted by BC RCMP Air Services, Maple Ridge Fire & Rescue Services, and BC Emergency Health Services. Ridge Meadows Search and Rescue has also been deployed to assist and the BC RCMP Underwater Recovery Team has been notified.”
