Sweet Rice was almost an accident...

5️⃣ YEARS OF SWEET RICE! 🎉

When I look back, I don’t just see a timeline; I see two distinct and powerful chapters, and the second one started completely by accident.

Chapter 1 was simple: Serve Calgary the best Mochi Donuts and build a community. But behind the scenes, I was making savoury staff meals, and for fun, I started posting photos of them. Suddenly, our DMs were flooded with messages like: "That looks incredible, can I buy that?!"

A lightbulb went off 💡. We were listening.

That happy accident turned the page to Chapter 2, pushing us to become Canada's FIRST dedicated gluten-free fast-food restaurant and donut shop. Being the first at anything is a risk, but our community’s support made it possible. This five-year milestone is a celebration of that journey, and it includes all of you.

And we've extended our hours the other days since y'all have been coming later for dinner. Thanks so much for your support and we are grateful to be able to expand our team so that we can be more available for you.

Today we join everyone in acknowledging National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. A day to listen, reflect and honour Survivors and their families in the indigenous communities. 🧡

Just an FYI!!! We will be closing early tomorrow so that our team can enjoy Stampede together :) thanks for your patience and hope to see you out for lunch!!!
