After so many consistent performances at the highest level, Headley Grange finally ticked the Group 1 box with a tenacious victory in the Ladbrokes Kingsford Smith Cup.

Partnered with regular jockey Adam Hyeronimus, the tough five-year-old gelding jumped well and settled with cover before weaving his way through the field and digging deep when it mattered most to secure a memorable win.

Congratulations to all of his connections and to our team at home. A fantastic result and a well-deserved Group 1 success! 👏🍾🏆

⚡ Spiv storms home to break his maiden at Newcastle ⚡

Jumping brilliantly and taking control early, Spiv never looked in doubt. Beautifully ridden by Leeshelle Small, he travelled comfortably throughout before letting down strongly in the straight to score an impressive victory.

🖤 Obsidian Dream breaks her maiden in style at Hawkesbury 🖤

The 3YO filly by Vadamos jumped brilliantly and took control from the outset, never giving her rivals a chance over the 1400m trip. Guided perfectly by Sam Clipperton, she travelled comfortably throughout and was powerful through the line.

A fantastic result for all of her connections and an exciting filly with a bright future ahead ✨

👑Twisted Queen delivers at Newcastle 👑

Stepping out over 1200m, the tough mare showed plenty of grit and determination. Forced to settle back and find cover early, she dug deep in the straight and charged home from the tail of the field, finishing powerfully through the line under the guidance of Regan Bayliss. 💥

A terrific performance and an impressive win.

Jumping well before finding cover early, the tough daughter of Snitzel showed plenty of grit when it mattered most—digging deep to power to the lead and secure a strong win over 1100m on her home track.
