What happens when four curious minds, a darkroom, and a roll of film meet? 🎞️✨
A little bit of chemistry, a lot of patience, and plenty of magic.
Come behind the scenes of our film developing workshop at Photo Cluster and watch images slowly appear out of nowhere.
(Trust me, it never gets old.)

“This is the hardest part.
For those of you who are reading it, it will only be the beginning of the magazine, but for me, it’s the end of a Journey that has lasted over a year.”
— Paolo Copolella, editor/Creative director
A special evening at the Photo Cluster:
We were delighted to host the Austrian premiere of the first issue of Cavie Magazine from Italy — a photography magazine bringing together international photographic positions, curatorial perspectives, and visual storytelling.
The release was more than a presentation of a new publication; it became a moment of exchange, connection, and shared passion for contemporary photography and independent publishing.
Thank you to everyone who joined us, contributed, and shared this evening with the Photo Cluster community.
A memorable night celebrating photography, print culture, and creative dialogue.
Especial thank you to: , .stories.with.effie

Ukrainian photography: Alternative and beyond
In this lecture is described a brief history of Ukrainian photography starting in the 70’s in soviet times and leading to contemporary movements and topics; the appearance of the UPHA (Ukrainian Photographic Alternative) and its shift from alternative position to the representative one. In this case, Jura reveals problematics of institutionalization of contemporary photography in Ukraine.
Jura Golik is a curator and artist from Kharkiv, Ukraine. In 2020 – 2024 he studied History and Theory of Arts at Kharkiv State Academy of Design and Arts. Now based in Vienna.
From 2019 to 2021 he worked as an art-manager at the Municipal Gallery in Kharkiv. In 2024 with other Ukrainian colleagues co-founded artist-run space ZIEGEL in Graz, where they are holding exhibitions, events and atelier space. In 2025 Jura moved to Vienna to receive Masters in Expanded Museum Studies at die Angewandte.

WHERE ARE THE BIRDS GONE –
TRACES OF SILENCE
ELIAS PARTOLL, PAULINA KREMSNER

FRUITFUL IRONIES /
OBST UND GEMÜSE
TIBOR HORVÁTH
Tibor Horváth is a visual artist currently based in Berlin. Over the past two decades, he has worked across various mediums, including performance, video, and installation.
During his intermedia studies at the Hungarian University of Fine Arts, he consciously pushed institutional and formal boundaries, with his works
often taking shape as provocative gestures. This spirit of reinterpreting conventions and embracing irony continues to shape his artistic practice.
In 2014, he launched adseries, an online art project operating as a curator-free, permanent exhibition space, which later evolved into the adframed Instagram page — a personal archive of cultural and social critique from the past decade. His work often engages with societal and political themes, conveyed through an ironic yet empathetic tone, less focused on direct questioning and more on offering fresh perspectives.
From the outset of his career, a critical attitude has guided his artistic practice. Today, his work is driven by observation and reflection, creating dialogue through everyday insights, humor, and an empathetic form of critique.
This exhibition is part of the annual program of ZIGUTAMVE – Association for Contemporary Photography and is funded by the cultural budget of Bezirk Neubau.
