Dear Facebook family and friends

I am reaching out to appeal for your help in raising funds for my nephew Ngoni. He developed a serious eye condition, retinal detachment, a couple of months ago and had to go for an emergency operation, otherwise he could have gone blind. It is however a two stage operation and he will need to go again for the second operation in January.

We have set up a GoFundMe account and would really appreciate your support, whether in donations, no amount is too small, or simply sharing this post in your circles.

Focus on Shumirai Chadehumba – ‘John’s Mother’
Shumirai has been in the industry for over seven years and has worked on over ten productions during that time, with various production houses. Having been a teacher for 15years and also being an agriculturist, she now works in the NGO sector. The arts industry however is her love interest. She brought a freshness and excitement to her performances and fit into the role of being a pushy unappreciative “vamwene” i.e. mother-inlaw, with ease.

Focus on Roderick Mugove Nago – Clive Focus on Roderick Mugove Nago – Clive

Rodrick Mugove Nago is a young man who was born and bred in the Midlands Province, in Gweru. Currently he is based in Masvingo working as an accountant at a company based there and also as Managing Director for another Legal Aid company, he is also a part time events MC and an activist for women and children rights. Roderick brought a lighter air to the production with his easy going and fun loving character. As Clive he managed to bring out a man who truly loves his wife and simply longs for a happy marriage.

Focus on Bongani Hlambelo a.k.a Supernova – Takura

Bongani is a multi talented artist, an actor, musician and a presenter. He is also the CEO at Flaming Events, a full service events management company. Bongani was an amazing fit in his role as Takura, having an uncanny ability to present as the abusive character that is Takura, inspite of him actually being quite a gentleman.

Focus on Nomvuyiso Mabi – Ruvimbo
Nomvuyiso Mabi is a visual artist by profession, a full time actress in both the film and theatre Industries. She has been performing since 2012 and has featured in various productions in theatre and on ZBC TV. She has also featured in two productions which were aired on South African television stations. A NAMA and BAA nominee she is a committed actress who enjoys her work and is willing to rise to any challenge. She brought Ruvimbo to life with her sterling perfomance.

First off is John as played by - Gift Farai Chakuvinga

Gift is a prolific actor who has been in the Theater and film industry for 15 years. He is a multi award winning actor having won a NAMA for Outstanding Theater Actor in 2016 and a BAA winner in 2017 for the same category. He is also a Theater Instructor at a school in Bulawayo. Gift is an accomplished and professional actor who brought a high level of experience to the production that saw other cast members improve their level of performance.
