RIP Great Architect OM - My First Employer. I am grateful l had the chance to thank him personally about a year ago. He will be remembered by my generation for his foundational initiatives in the African Union of Architects (AUA)/ Union Des Architectes d'Afrique. A day with a compatriot & fellow Architect! Brother in arms from bachelor’s degree. Such a blessing to get time to catch up at this stage of our lives.

We are mourning the passing of Frank Gehry or ‘The Other Frank’ as many call him in the world of Architecture & Design! This man stood for something when it was not easy. He fought and defended the extraordinary cause of authentic and original expression in architecture. I know many may argue with that, but the fact that we are arguing about him shows that he was an “extraordinary force of nature”, a term he once coined to define and describe an architect. In the midst of this sadness, we’re grateful he lived. Frank Gehry served as a role model to many of us in our generation of architects and still does through a prolific allegory of his amazing works!
