Kin Culture
Kin Culture is a faith community where orphans and vulnerable children are given a family and a bright future. There are many families headed up by orphans.
There are many orphans and vulnerable children in most parts of the world. South Africa alone has between 4 and 6 million orphans. 30% of this country's population is 15 years and younger. Family has been ripped from the heart of Africa. Fathers are absent, mothers and children are dying from HIV/AIDS. Famine has taken whatever is left. The church has the cure. We can help Africa back on it's feet. Families don't have to be hopeless. Children don't have to be abandoned. They can have a future. Education will be at their doorstep. Healthy bodies are no longer a distant memory. We will be a city on a hill. A light that shines brighter than the darkness. BANKING DETAILS:

The first night isn't about doing everything right. It's about helping a child feel a little safer than they did an hour ago.
Whether you're thinking about foster care, already fostering, or just want to support someone who is, these small things go a long way.
Save this for later or send it to a friend who's been wondering about foster care.
And if you've fostered before, what helped a child feel at home in those first hours? Tell us in the comments. Your answer might be exactly what someone else needs to read.

Giving shouldn't feel like a leap of faith.
At iZinga Assist, we believe you deserve to know exactly where your generosity goes. This week, we are highlighting three organisations that have earned our highest seal of approval: Grow ECD, Hearts of Hope and Kin Culture.
By achieving a 5-star rating, these NPOs have demonstrated total transparency across our four pillars of Legal, Governance, Financial, and Impact. They aren’t just doing good work - they are proving it every day. Support the gold standard of philanthropy at the link in our bio.

Foster care is one of the most beautiful things you can do. It's also incredibly hard.
We recently received a message from a foster family we walk alongside, and one line stayed with us: "We had the willingness, but there was so much unknown."
If you've ever felt that, you're not behind and you're not alone. Most families start right there. Excited, a little scared, and sure they're out of their depth.
What changed things for this family wasn't having it all together. It was having someone who met them right where they were, who understood the weight of it, and who reminded them that showing up is enough.
That's what Kin Culture exists to do. We don't hand you a manual and wish you luck. We walk with you through the questions, the uncertainty, and the moments no one else sees.
If you've been wondering whether foster care could be part of your family's story, we'd love to talk. No pressure, just a conversation.

Children are growing up online, and they need to learn how to navigate it safely.
For children in care, that matters even more, because their safety and privacy need extra care.
It's also easy to feel shut out of their online world. New apps, new games, new slang. And for children who've learned that adults aren't always safe, opening up about anything can take time.
You don't need to be an expert. You just need to keep showing up, curious and calm, so they know they can come to you.
And if your little one isn't online yet, now is a good time to start paying attention. Children often pick up new apps and games quickly, and being prepared means you won't be playing catch-up.
Save this for your next conversation, and adapt the questions to your child's age.

Whether you're still wondering if fostering is for you, waiting on paperwork, in the early days of a new placement, or years into this journey and tired in a way that's hard to explain, you are not forgotten.
Today, we're praying for you.
If you know a foster family, would you pray for them by name this week? Sometimes the most encouraging thing is simply knowing someone is thinking of you.
What if you’re already more ready than you think?
You don’t need every answer before you start.
You don’t need to have done this before.
You need a willingness to learn, and people to walk with you.
That’s what Kin Culture is here for. We don’t hand you a checklist and walk away. We walk alongside you, every step, every question, every hard day.
You’re more ready than you think. And you won’t be doing it alone.

Kin Corner.
Saying yes is rarely one decision. It's a hundred smaller ones that come after, the calls, the paperwork, the first night, the questions you didn't know to ask.
This week's question: what's something you'd tell a family about to say yes for the first time?
Prayer is part of how our community shows up for foster families. Join us this week.
