Dit is met diepe hartseer dat ons die afsterwe van Dawid Erasmus, ’n toegewyde en onbaatsugtige lid van die Rustenburg Crime Combating Forum, bekend maak.
Dawid was meer as net ’n vrywilliger; hy was ’n beskermer, ’n vriend en ’n pilaar van krag binne die Donkerhoek gemeenskap en die groter Rustenburg omgewing. Hy het sy tyd, energie en hart gegee om ander veilig te hou, en het dikwels die behoeftes van sy gemeenskap bo sy eie gestel. Sy toewyding en moed sal nooit vergeet word nie.
Ongelukkig het Dawid nie ’n begrafnispolis gehad nie, en sy skielike afsterwe het sy geliefde vrou, Sylvia, met die emosionele en finansiële las gelaat om sy afskeid te reël.
Vandag doen ons ’n nederige beroep op die Rustenburg-gemeenskap, vriende, bure en almal wie se lewens deur Dawid se diens geraak is, om saam te staan in sy nagedagtenis. Kom ons eer die man wat soveel gegee het deur die familie wat hy so lief gehad het, te ondersteun.
Enige donasie, hoe klein ook al, sal ’n groot verskil maak om Sylvia te help om die begrafniskoste te dek in hierdie uiters moeilike tyd.
Laat ons saamstaan, soos Dawid altyd vir ons almal gestaan het.

A Heartfelt Appeal to the Rustenburg Community
It is with deep sadness that we share the passing of Dawid Erasmus, a dedicated and selfless member of the Rustenburg Crime Combating Forum.
Dawid was more than just a volunteer; he was a protector, a friend, and a pillar of strength within the Donkerhoek community and the greater Rustenburg area. He gave his time, energy, and heart to keeping others safe, often putting the needs of his community before his own. His commitment and courage will never be forgotten.
Tragically, Dawid did not have a funeral policy in place, and his sudden passing has left his beloved wife, Sylvia, facing the emotional and financial burden of arranging his farewell.
Today, we humbly ask the Rustenburg community, friends, neighbours, and all whose lives were touched by Dawid’s service, to come together in his memory. Let us honour the man who gave so much by supporting the family he loved so dearly.
Any donation, no matter how small, will make a meaningful difference in helping Sylvia cover the funeral costs during this incredibly difficult time.
Let us stand together, as Dawid once stood for all of us.
