Tuesday: The interview ft Solita Vicks
1pm on Agape FM

At 27, Solita Vicks is a passionate South African singer-songwriter from Graaff-Reinet, whose music is shaped by resilience, faith, healing and the power of believing in oneself. With a style that blends inspirational pop with soulful authenticity, Solita uses her music to encourage listeners to keep going, overcome adversity and believe in their own potential.

Her latest single, “Just Believe,” is a powerful and uplifting anthem centred on self-belief, perseverance and hope. The song draws from experiences of loneliness, pain and unseen struggles, transforming them into a message of encouragement: despite the scars and challenges one may carry, it is important to keep the faith, ignore negativity and continue moving forward.

The song also carries a personal South African flavour, incorporating both English and Afrikaans, including the encouraging sentiment that you can achieve what your heart desires. Through its message, “Just Believe” challenges listeners not to allow hate, criticism or difficult circumstances to define them, but instead to recognise their own strength and potential.

For Solita, songwriting is more than entertainment—it is a means of healing, encouragement and connection. Her journey as an independent vocalist and songwriter is defined by her desire to inspire others through honest music and remind them that their circumstances do not have to determine their future.

With “Just Believe,” Solita Vicks introduces herself as an artist with a simple but powerful message: keep going, believe in yourself and never allow adversity to silence the possibilities within you.
