Samantha Streak is the founding head of The Port Elizabeth Montessori School which opened in January 1995 and continues to fulfil this role. She received her 0-6 diploma and 6-12 diploma through the London Montessori Centre between 1991 and 1993. Samantha has a B.Psych and M.Ed (Educational Leadership).
Samantha has been actively involved in the Montessori community within Southern Africa for over 33 years and has served as the president of the South African Montessori Association. She has presented at national and internationals conferences and represented Montessori education in South Africa globally. She completed the AMI (Association Montessori Internationale) Administrator Course in 2021 and AMI Orientation Certificate for Adolescents in 2025.
Sam, as she prefers to be known, is passionate about Montessori Education and believes it is the key to a revolution in education for humanity.

A qualified teacher, artist, singer, model, photographer, motivational speaker and content creator, Savahna uses her diverse gifts to encourage people to recognise their unique purpose and potential. Her love for children, education and people continues to shape the way she serves and connects with others. Whether she is on stage, writing music, telling stories or creating content, her goal is to bring hope and touch hearts through her work.

Savahna is also the proud founder of Bloom Gracefully, a project that encourages people, regardless of their circumstances, to keep growing, healing and blooming through God's grace. At the heart of the project is her belief that people's circumstances do not have to define their future, and that every individual has the potential to grow into who God has created them to be.

She does not believe in perfection. Instead, Savahna embraces authenticity, faith and love, believing that true beauty can be found in the journey of growth. Her own outlook is shaped by the conviction that God can transform broken places into something meaningful and beautiful.

Her passion for encouraging others is also reflected in her music. “Skyn” is an inspiring Afrikaans children's song written and performed by Savahna. The song carries a message of hope, love and kindness, reminding children that each one of them is unique and valuable. Through its message, Savahna encourages young listeners to let their light shine, care for others, love one another and never give up.

The song highlights the power of small acts of kindness, reminding children that even the simplest expression of love can make a meaningful difference and contribute to making the world a more beautiful place.

Ultimately, Savahna hopes to leave behind a legacy defined not by fame or perfection, but by love, hope and faith. She wants to be remembered as someone who built others up, inspired them to believe in themselves and loved deeply.
