Today, Capsicum Culinary Studio was proudly represented at the South African Chefs Association’s Women in Culinary Conference 2026, celebrating the talent, leadership and growing influence of women in the culinary industry.

Our very own Chef Elsu Gericke joined the panel discussion, sharing her industry insights and highlighting the important role women continue to play in shaping the future of the culinary profession.

The occasion also celebrated Chef Maseehah “Messi” Karodia, whose achievements were acknowledged at the conference, another proud moment for the Capsicum family.

Adding to the celebration, two talented young women from Capsicum were recognised as members of the Junior Team Masakhane Project, an elite SA Chefs initiative that develops South Africa’s top young culinary talent under the age of 25 and prepares them for international competition.

From established industry voices to the next generation of culinary talent, we are proud to see Capsicum women leading, achieving and creating their place on the global culinary stage.
