Our GPOKCID cleansing and landscaping teams are out in the community helping to maintain public spaces, clearing overgrown areas, removing garden waste and debris, tidying pavements and keeping our streets looking their best.

A fantastic example of what can be achieved through strong partnerships, teamwork and the smart use of technology. 👏

25 Years of Community. 25 Years of Appreciation. 💚

As part of our 25-year celebration, we wanted to take a moment to thank the people who make a difference every single day.

Instead of cutting a cake, we treated each member of our dedicated team to a burger, chips and a cold drink as a small token of appreciation for their hard work, commitment and contribution to the Green Point precinct.

Whether they've been with us for many years or only a short time, every staff member has played a part in our journey.

Thank you for your dedication, your service and for helping make Green Point a safer, cleaner and better place to live, work and visit. Here's to the next chapter together! 🎉

This Mandela Day, every act of kindness has the power to make a lasting difference.

Whether you volunteer at a local charity, help clean up your neighbourhood, donate to someone in need, or simply lend a helping hand, your 67 minutes can help build a stronger, safer and more connected community.

We've rounded up some inspiring ways to get involved, including Mandela Day events happening across Cape Town.

Together, let's honour Madiba's legacy by creating positive change, one act of kindness at a time.

🎉 Green Point CID Turns 25!

Today we celebrate 25 years of serving the Green Point community.

Looking back, I am incredibly proud of how far we've come. What started as a shared vision has grown into one of Cape Town's most vibrant and well-managed neighbourhoods, thanks to the support of our property owners, residents, businesses, partners and our dedicated GPCID team.

To everyone who has been part of this journey - thank you. Your trust, commitment and collaboration have made this milestone possible.

While we're proud of what we've achieved together over the past 25 years, we're even more excited about what lies ahead as we continue working to make Green Point an even safer, cleaner and better place for everyone.

Happy 25th Birthday, Green Point CID! 🎉

How can GPOKCID help you? 🚧🌳

Keeping our precinct clean, safe and well-maintained is all part of what we do every day.

Today, our Maintenance Team:
🌳 Cleared tree branches and green waste from the pavement, restoring a safe and tidy pedestrian walkway.
🚗 Repainted faded parking bay markings to improve visibility and help maintain orderly parking throughout the precinct.

These are the everyday tasks that help keep Green Point and Oranje-Kloof looking their best for everyone who lives, works and visits here.

See something that needs attention? Let us know – we're here to help.

🚔 Safer communities are built through partnership.

The latest achievements by the LPR User Group highlight the impact of collaboration between law enforcement, Community Improvement Districts, neighbourhood watches, security providers and communities working together.

Over the past seven weeks:
✅ More than 100 suspects detained
🚗 15 stolen vehicles recovered
🔫 3 fi****ms recovered

These successes demonstrate how technology, intelligence sharing and coordinated action continue to make a real difference in removing criminals from our streets and improving public safety.

GPOKCID is proud to work alongside our law enforcement and community partners in creating a safer Green Point and Oranje-Kloof for everyone.

Thank you to everyone involved for your ongoing commitment to protecting our communities.
