π A heartfelt thank you to Freedom Church
We are incredibly grateful to Freedom Church for their generous donation of personal care items for the Red Container.
In addition, through their Winter Warmer Drive, they donated winter clothing to help keep our traders and their families warm during the colder months. These contributions provide practical support while ensuring that people can access essential items with dignity through the Clean Trade system.
Whether it's warm clothing, toiletries, or other everyday necessities, donations like these help us keep the Red Container stocked with items that truly matter.
Thank you for your kindness, generosity and commitment to our community. Your support helps us continue facilitating recycling, dignity and development, one trade at a time. β»οΈπ

π A heartfelt thank you to Awie van den Berg and Campbell Scott
Following the heavy rains that left parts of the Clean Trade premises muddy and difficult to access, Awie van den Berg generously donated and delivered gravel to help restore the area.
A special thank you to Campbell Scott, who gave his time and equipment to spread and level the gravel, transforming the space into a safer and more accessible environment for our traders and volunteers.
Acts of generosity like these often happen behind the scenes, but they make a world of difference to the day-to-day functioning of Clean Trade. Your support helps us continue facilitating recycling, dignity and development, no matter the challenges the weather may bring.
Thank you for rolling up your sleeves and standing with our community. β»οΈπ

π A heartfelt thank you to Lucky Star
We are incredibly grateful to Lucky Star for sponsoring the paint that refreshed our famous Red Container β the heart of Clean Trade.
This space holds so much more than goods. Itβs where recycling is exchanged for dignity, where tokens become food and essentials, and where community comes together in a meaningful way.
Thanks to your support, the Red Container continues to stand strong β a visible symbol of hope, care and opportunity in Graaff-Reinet.
We appreciate your ongoing partnership and belief in what this project represents. β»οΈπ

We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to Union Prep School for their generous donation to Clean Trade Charity. Your support made it possible for us to purchase chicken, which we were able to share with local traders as a small but meaningful treat. Your kindness truly made a difference and brought joy to many. We sincerely appreciate your contribution and continued support.

Look at our impact since we began trading. You can be part of the IMPACT! π
π From September 2024 to March 2026, we have collected 111 286 kg of recyclable materials, excluding non-recyclable waste.
π Of this, 44 756 kg were plastic bottles.
π A total of 6 210 traders have participated in the programme, with many returning regularly.
π Of those served, 59% were women and 41% men.
π 100% of our traders are unemployed, leaving with food, dignity and often, much more.
The demand remains huge. Clean Trade continues to balance access with capacity to ensure the system remains fair, dignified and sustainable. The need is still massive.
Thank you to all our volunteers, sponsors and donors. Your continued support makes this work possible and keeps Graaff-Reinet cleaner, stronger and more compassionate.
IT IS OUR COLLECTIVE RESPONSIBILITY to take care of our town and our environment! π

π A heartfelt thank you to Lucky Star
We are incredibly grateful to Lucky Star for their generous donation of products to Clean Trade β especially their 2-minute noodles, which have quickly become a valued addition to our Red Container.
Weβre proud to be among the first to have these on our shelves, making it possible for traders to access quick, convenient and nourishing food options through the tokens they earn.
Donations like this go a long way. They help us continue stocking the Red Container with items that matter β supporting households with choice, dignity and practical everyday needs.
Thank you, Lucky Star, for being part of a system that turns recycling into real impact. β»οΈπ
