Match Results !

On May 9, 2026, the Germiston Simmer Rugby Club faced a challenging day in the GLRU Grand Challenge, marked by a series of tough away games against the Rhinos. After a demanding four-hour journey, the Simmer teams arrived ready to compete but unfortunately encountered setbacks on the field.

The first team fought valiantly but struggled to find their rhythm, ending the match with a score that left fans yearning for more. Despite their loss, the players displayed commendable resilience and a commitment to the game, demonstrating that their spirit remains unbroken.

Similarly, the second team and third team faced a difficult match, falling short of victory. Their tenacity shone through as they battled hard against a formidable opponent, showing that each challenge is a stepping stone toward improvement.

In contrast, the U21 team had the privilege of hosting their match at home, taking on the Pirates. This game was a bright spot for Simmer, showcasing the talent within the youth ranks. They played with heart and determination, providing a glimpse of the bright future ahead for the club.

While the day was marked by losses, the spirit of Germiston Simmer remains strong. The team is united in their commitment to learn and grow from these experiences. With unwavering support from their fans, the players are determined to bounce back in future matches.

So proud of my Simmer family

Love
Auntie Cathy
