You have a disc, or discs. You go around the course, from tees to targets in the fewest throws possible. Disc golf is a recreational sport for everyone, regardless of age, gender, or, ability.

George Museum - A remarkable exhibition of picture postcards will be held at the George Museum from 1 to 10 October 2016. This extensive collection of postcards, showcasing historical George and surrounds were collected over many decades by ds. Pauw Steyl, a well-known stamp collector from Heatherpark. Each of the postcards on display will have an informative caption for more information on the specific detail of the postcard.

Come and see how 3 high schools and 5 primary schools take on Shakespeare in 8 different 30 minute reworks of his most famous plays. (2 Afrikaans, 1 IsiXhosa, 5 English) The adaptations come from “As you like it”, “Midsummer night’s dream”, “Macbeth” and “Romeo and Juliet” with the emphasis on exposing children to a new experience, having fun and exploring the process.

Come and celebrate George’s talent with exhibitions of local art and craft and memories at the George Civic Centre. Famed local artist Tony Noble will also be giving a small lecture on painting and life on 6 October from 10h00-11h00.
The Expo will also showcase art from “the canvass project” where locals in Thembalethu are given a blank canvas and are tasked to create on it.
