School admissions policies play a critical role in shaping the future of education. But the key question remains: how do we ensure every learner has access to quality opportunities?

Commenting on proposed changes to former Model C school admissions, FEDSAS Deputy CEO and legal expert Dr Juane van der Merwe-Mocke highlighted the importance of admissions policies that are fair, transparent, reasonable and in line with the law.

The focus should not simply be on changing access to schools, but on strengthening the education system so that every learner can reach their full potential.

Quality education should be a reality for every child, regardless of where they live.
