🐾 WORLD RABIES DAY | 28 SEPTEMBER 🐾

Rabies is preventable, but once symptoms develop, it is almost always fatal.

If you are bitten or scratched by a dog, cat or other animal:

• Wash the wound immediately with soap and running water for at least 15 minutes
• Do not apply traditional remedies or irritants
• Seek medical attention as soon as possible for assessment and post-exposure treatment
• Don’t wait for symptoms to develop
