The Rotary Club of Benoni Van Ryn was honoured to spend Mandela Day giving back to our community at the Salvation Army in Benoni Town. Together, we prepared and served delicious boerewors rolls and cooldrinks to the residents, sharing not only a meal but also laughter, kindness, and meaningful conversations.
What made the day even more special was having our precious future Rotarians join us. Seeing the next generation embrace the spirit of service reminds us that every small act of kindness has the power to create a lasting impact.
Mandela Day is a beautiful reminder that we can all make a difference by giving just a little of our time to others. The smiles shared throughout the day were a testament to the true spirit of Ubuntu – "I am because we are."
A heartfelt thank you to everyone who volunteered, contributed, and made this day so memorable. Together, we continue to live Rotary's motto: Service Above Self.
