The U21s grade at today’s Independence Tag for Kids tournament delivered a powerful reminder of why Samoa Tag believes so strongly in youth in sport.

The matches were full of heart, with older siblings guiding younger ones, teammates backing each other after tough moments, and families celebrating every small win along the way.

Samoa Tag thanks the Government of Samoa for supporting this tournament and helping create spaces where Samoa's youth can express themselves and grow with confidence.

Team Samoa Tag were honoured to represent Samoa Tag and march in this morning’s Independence March for Sports, celebrating Samoa’s 64th Independence and Samoa Tag's place in this weekend of sport.

A big thank you to the Government of Samoa, the Ministry of Sport and Recreation, and Samoa's Independence Celebrations Committee for putting together a memorable weekend of sport and culture in our beautiful Samoa.

This Independence season, we come together not only to celebrate our nation’s freedom, but also the strength, unity, and future of our people through sport.

The Samoa Tag Independence Tag Tournament is more than just a competition it is a celebration of our youth, our communities, and the passion that continues to grow the game of tag across Samoa.

We begin with our future stars in the Kids Tag Tournament divisions:
• U10
• U14
• U21 Mixed
• U21 Boys

Leading into our exciting Senior Grades:
• Open Men’s
• Open Women’s

As we honor the sacrifices and vision of those who came before us, we also celebrate the next generation our young athletes who proudly carry the spirit of Samoa with pride, respect, and determination.

This tournament is about creating opportunities, building confidence, strengthening friendships, and showcasing the incredible talent within our islands. Whether you are playing, coaching, supporting from the sidelines, or representing your village and family you are part of something bigger.
