MADD Gallery (Motivational Art, Dance and Drama) began in 1983 as a performing arts workshop space for children. Founder, Momoe von Reiche, has qualifications in arts education and specialises in working with children. In 1993, MADD Gallery opened as an official art gallery and has since been hosting events and showcasing works of artists from around the world. Specialising in contemporary arts, resident MADD Gallery artists offer a fusion of traditional Samoan culture with contemporary interpretations. MADD Gallery continues to offer a range of classes including traditional printing, children's arts, sculpture and painting. Momoe von Reiche has recently opened the Lemongrass Ti gift shop she makes handcrafted works largely from local and recycled materials.
