Bike Samoa

A big smile from Darren Young after the finish of his 110km Gran Fondo race in the Tour de Brisbane today! He makes it look easy and enjoyable 😉😆 All part of the preparation building towards the 2026 Pacific Games where cycling will on the events program. Awesome work Darren!

Congratulations to these five super cyclists who biked Upolu today - 200km smashed! Peter Peilua, Darren Young, Peter Sexton, Urlin Mulitalo and Filipo Mulitalo
This is an especially achievement for Filipo, only age 16, making him the youngest Samoan to achieve this milestone.
And for Urlin, the first ever Samoan woman to bike Upolu in a day. Thank you to the super support car driver Line Mulitalo.

A shoutout to USO Bike Ride for their kindness and generousity thats helping Samoa athletes to realise their dreams. Triathlete Crisroch Euta Levale from Letogo, raced in Palau at the Oceania Regional Cup, riding one of the road bikes recently donated to us by Uso Bike. Crisroch was training on a bike too small for him, an old clunky bike that kept malfunctioning. We assigned Crisroch one of the beautiful Giant road bikes sent to us by Uso Bike and he was able to in Palau! Crisroch set new personal best times in the Oceania race and he is currently the top ranked Junior male triathlete in the Pacific. Crisroch and his brothers are coached by their father Euta who is also a member of our Bike Samoa Executive Board.

Twelve cyclists this morning on our group ride to the airport and back. Five of them doing this ride for the first time! A great way to start the long Easter weekend here in beautiful Samoa.

We are pleased to announce the 2026 National Training Team. Selected from previous years National Champs, these are athletes who are eligible to represent Samoa at the 2027 Pacific Games. They are invited to commit to our ongoing training program and prepare to compete in our races planned for the year.

5am bike rides are a great way to get the day rolling 🤩

Thirteen riders at our 5am training this morning. Great to have Stuart join us for a bike workout before he flies back to NZ later today! Thank you coaches for another great session.

It takes a village to raise an athlete, and we are so blessed to have the support of USO in Aotearoa backing our Bike Samoa journey.
