Spring’s in the air, and so was the energy this September. Here’s the dump. 🌸

🎓 30 students from Colegio Zorrilla, Maristas. came by for a company visit. Juan Francisco Kurucz, an alumnus himself, showed them how far “learn how to learn” can take you.

💻 We celebrated Programmers’ Day in all its forms, because it’s one craft with many different shapes. 💙

🤝 We got together with Qubika for an after office to celebrate the new chapter with drinks, live music, and plenty of good conversations.

🇲🇽 Next stop: Mexico. We’re heading to the Google Cloud Summit to talk about the Gemini Enterprise Transformation program and reconnect with our network there.

More to come as spring picks up. 🩵

The job stopped having one shape a while ago. Not because writing code got easy, because the rest kept growing: framing the problem, picking between approaches that all work, keeping a system running once its behavior stops being deterministic.

AI moved a lot of that around. It didn’t settle any of it 💻

August gave us a lot to celebrate!

🎉 Our company turned 16, and we spent it the way we do best: together. Thanks to our gang for making it happen, year after year.

🤝 Tryolabs joined forces with Qubika. Two companies born in Uruguay, built on the same engineering DNA, now writing the next chapter together.

Tryolabs is now part of Qubika.

We started in Montevideo in 2010, building machine learning systems for US enterprises back when that was a hard sell. 16 years later, we’ve put AI into production for Fortune 500 companies and for startups that grew up along the way. Forecasting and pricing engines, computer vision at the edge, and agents running in production across retail, aviation, manufacturing and insurance.

Qubika started the same way we did, in Latin America, with the same engineering DNA and a similar obsession with quality. That is why this made sense.

What we gain is scale. A 1,100-person engineering organization across the Americas, and a much wider set of capabilities to bring to every engagement.

Alan Descoins, our CEO, also joins Qubika’s executive team as Chief AI Officer.
