We had an incredible time at Give Local York's Sponsor Appreciation Event today! 💙🫶

Today's gathering provided a great opportunity to connect with organizations doing valuable work throughout York County. A few of our partners, including Stephanie from York County Children's Advocacy Center and Beth from Off the Streets, were invited to share about their nonprofits and how they were impacted through the event.

We were so grateful to support a number of nonprofits during Give Local York by providing additional stretch pool funds. We want to especially thank Give Local York's team for their work putting on their annual event and today's gathering as we work together to invest in York!

Meet our Partner of the Week: Abba's Place!

Abba's Place "aims to provide restoration to the marginalized through relationship, servanthood, and creativity." Specifically, it provides food and other necessities to those in need, and serves a hot meal every Friday. By meeting the tangible needs of our neighbors, Abba's staff has the opportunity to build into their visitors lives and provide emotional support as well.

We were able to film videos on specific ways to financially support the CommunityAid Foundation as we continue to build out our offerings so that you can make the impact that you want.

We're funding a brighter future! 🫶💙

We just provided a grant to The Thunderbolt Foundation to support their effort to provide hands-on science and environmental education to around 850 K-5 students. They are building a dedicated outdoor learning center to enable Littlestown Area students to conduct high-level experiments, collect and track more in-depth data, and more!

Students will also be able to share any fruit or vegetables they grow with local food pantries, extending the impact and teaching valuable lessons in the process!

We are so grateful for the work the Thunderbolt Foundation is doing, and we look forward to seeing the finished academic space in person!

Meet our Partner of the Week: Kareems Mission!

Kareem's Mission empowers individuals with autism and those that support them. Kareem's provides training, resources, sensory spaces, and a collaborative environment to connect and uplift those on the spectrum. Their slogan, "See the able, not the label," points to the incredible capacities of those with autism, and we are so excited to continue to support their programs and purpose as they serve our neighbors in need.

Meet our Partner of the Week: Carlisle Family YMCA!

Providing services for youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility, the Carlisle Family YMCA is supporting a number of our neighbors in need. We recently funded Nan's Kitchen, covering wages for staff as they plan, prep, cook, and clean for two hot meals and three snacks per week. This provides tangible relief for our those struggling with food insecurity. Together, we are making a difference in our community!
